Cub Scouts from Pack 1859 spent an overnight adventure on the USS Constellation in Baltimore, learning the ropes, battening down the hatches, sleeping in hammocks, and even trained as a full canon fire team before a live demonstration!

This summer, 5 AoLs (rising 5th graders), 4 Webelos (rising 4th graders), and 4 (brave) dads attended weeklong camp at Camp Ross (part of Goshen Scout Reservation). We had a blast! Sleeping in tents, archery, fishing, BBs, fire building, knot tying, knife safety skills, nature, handicrafts, eating in the dining hall, card games by lantern, and campfires. Lots of laughing, fun, and time with friends, old and new. Did we mention that Water Trampoline on the lake?! That was certainly the highlight of the week for many. We hope to be back next year!

Our spring campout 🏕️ was fantastic! The worst of the rain fortunately held off, so there was lots of time for fun! Scouts got a chance to explore Lake Fairfax Park, including some time fishing, before settling into our site. Our Webelos (4th graders) cooked a fantastic dinner - tacos! Our night included a campfire and a chance to enjoy some s'mores.
