We are excited to anounce that this years Merit Badge University will be held on September 26th.

Regestration will open on May 22nd and will close September 19th, 2026.

this event is now open to all Scouts BSA and GSUSA participants and will cost $15

My name is Blake Peeler, and I will be serving as the Scouting Chair for Alpha Phi Omega for Fall 2026!

I am excited to announce that this year's Merit Badge University will take place on September 26, 2026.

I am also an Eagle Scout studying Packaging Science here at Clemson. I have been heavily involved in scouting over the years and have taught a variety of merit badges at past events. I’m excited about this opportunity and look forward to giving back to a community that has given so much to me!

Scouting University is tomorrow! If you have not read through the previous post, please do so now! I wanted to come on here to give a few added reminders:

- Waiver: If you have not completed the waiver yet, please do so with the link below. When accessing the document, be sure to make a copy to edit and don't forget your signature!

- Payment: If you have not already paid yet, please log into MyCamp and submit your payment or be sure to have your payment ready for check-in!

- BSA ID: If you did not include your scout's BSA ID when registering through MyCamp, please add it now. We willl be using Scoutbook to sign off on merit badges for Scouts BSA, and we need the BSA ID to connect the scout's account

- Parking: See the big update in the previous post! Also, you should park in the orange lined spaces, and if you park in a metered spot, please be sure to pay the meter

- Attire: Scouts should come in their Class A (formal) attire

Completing these steps ahead of time will help make check-in and check-out on Saturday smooth and fast.

Good morning!

Thank you for registering for the 2026 Scouting University hosted by Alpha Phi Omega at Clemson University. Scouting University is only five days away! I am reaching out to provide vital information you will need in preparation for this Saturday, March 28th.

Event Time/Schedule:
Check-In will take place from 7am-8:30am. Classes will run from 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm with an hour break from 12pm-1pm for lunch. Check-out will occur as classes end around 3:30/4pm until around 5pm.

Check-In and Parking:
Check-In will take place from 7am-8:30am in the front lobby of Lehotsky Hall. At Check-In, we will verify that you have completed payment and that your liability form has been submitted. To locate the main site of the event where you will check in, enter “Jersey Ln. Clemson, SC 29634” into your GPS. Once you turn onto Jersey Ln. there will be various signs and helpers directing you to where you can park and to where you need to check in. You can find this information on our website here: https://scoutingapo.wixsite.com/scoutingu/location-parking . Please still complete check-in even if you arrive late for the event. We will have volunteers available to take your Scout(s) to their classroom.

We have been told by parking services that the Spring Game should not cause any parking issues, especially since we are starting in the morning before the game!

Lunch:
Lunch will be provided to all participants, and the cost is included in the $12 event program fee. Each Scout will receive 2 slices of pizza, chips, and a drink. If you or your Scout has any dietary restrictions, a packed lunch should be brought with them. Extra meal tickets can be purchased for Scouts, leaders, and parents. During the lunch period, extra patches from this year and previous years’ patches will be available for purchase.

Preparation:
To make sure everyone has a great experience, please come ready to participate, discuss, and have fun during your merit badge session. Before arriving, look over all the requirements for your badge and complete any prerequisites at home. You can check online here for specific prerequisites for your badge. Be sure to bring proof of your completed prerequisites (like a worksheet, note, or signature from a witness) so you can get credit for them during the event. This is also a reminder that Citizenship in Society can no longer be offered at our event due to its discontinuation. If you have not yet changed your scout to a new class, please reach out to me so we can find another class for them to attend!

Payment:
Login to MyCamp Manager to ensure that your payment has been completed. You can check your invoice to ensure payment has been completed or to determine the amount owed. If this has not already been completed, please do so as soon as possible. You may also bring cash or a check with you to be submitted during check-in. Checks should be written out to Alpha Phi Omega - Gamma Lambda.

Liability and Supervision:

We are continuing the Google Form system this year to improve organization. Waivers need to be filled out and signed by a parent/guardian for each individual Scout. If you miss this deadline, you can bring your signed waiver with you to be submitted during check-in. As stated in the liability waiver, a parent or Scout leader must be present for the duration of MBU and will be responsible for the supervision of their Scout(s) during the event.

Check-Out:
Check-Out will begin around 3:30/4pm in the lobby of Lehotsky Hall (same place as Check-In). If you are part of a unit, delegate one individual to check-out for the unit (if possible). This year our merit badges will be signed off through Scout Book, and you will be emailed once this process has been completed. Please come and collect this year's patch and have the option to buy one from a previous year for $5.

I wanted to come on here to say I am very excited to announce that this year's Scouting University will be held on March 28, 2026.

Good morning everyone!

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Hailey, and I will be serving as the Scouting Chair for Alpha Phi Omega for Spring 2026! I am also a senior pre-veterinary major here at Clemson.

I have previously been involved in four scouting events, assisting at two and teaching at two, and I am very excited for the opportunity to bring this event to life for everyone to experience. I hope to have more updates regarding dates and sign-ups by mid-January, so please stay tuned!

I also kindly ask for patience in regard to communication, especially during the holidays and throughout the school year. I will do my best to respond to all questions in a timely manner, but please allow 24-48 hours for replies, as I will be balancing classes and a job.

MBU is only two days away! We are reaching out to provide vital information you will need in preparation for this Saturday, October 25th.

Event Time/Schedule
