The first episode of “Loaded Bases”, our new podcast series connected to the Sincerely, Daniel exhibit, opened with a live conversation featuring 🏈

Together, we spoke about mental health, his upbringing in Clemson, the pressure of being a Black athlete, and the weight of expectation during his Clemson career. Javis shared openly about the events that led to his su***de attempt and the coping practices he uses today to overcome challenges and find healing.

This was our first oral history interview for the exhibit and our first live podcast experience. Thank you to everyone who came, walked with us, and experienced how we are building history together.

We look forward to more episodes and want to hear from you. Which athletes would you like to learn more about? Whose stories should we record next?

September is Su***de Prevention Month, and in honor of this critical time, we are proud to host a FREE Sincerely, Daniel: Walk & Talk.

This event will feature , a former and athlete, highlighted in the Sincerely, Daniel exhibit and a survivor of a su***de attempt. Javis will share his story during our first-ever oral history podcast recording, allowing the community to listen, learn, and reflect together.

After the podcast, we will walk as a community and return to the museum for fellowship, light refreshments, and festival-style activities. We will then continue building awareness around mental health and su***de prevention.

Join us as we honor lives impacted by su***de, uplift survivors, and commit to breaking the stigma through conversation, remembrance, and community action.

For the Central Tigers Super Saturday celebration, Sincerely, Daniel partnered with the Art Center of Clemson () to host a pre-Super Saturday night for the Central Tigers at . We turned players, cheerleaders, coaches, and parents into artists.

Together, they created banners for Super Saturday that carried their pride, creativity, and spirit. It was beautiful to see the same energy they bring to the game and to the sidelines come alive on canvas.

We could not be prouder of what was created. These young athletes reminded us that the power of expression is as important as the power of competition. We are grateful for the collaboration and are excited to share our next event soon.
