And just like that it's fall again. I think this is my favorite time of the year, of course I live in the northeast where fall gets more and more spectacular every year.
Fall in the south can be dangerous, especially for rescues, as we've all seen in the past.
Dog fighting becomes more prevalent as the nights get cooler. Hopefully it won't be as bad as we've seen in the past. Right now we are focusing on getting ready for winter and the proceeds from this fundraiser will help with that.
The initial campaign will run for 2 weeks, but no fear you will still be able to get it after that as this has been added to our online store with all of our other designs.

We are getting extremely low on dog food and we need your help. We need both canned and dry of both regular and grain free. This is our Amazon wishlist and I will be sharing the Chewy list in another post. My phone has trouble attaching more than one link.
Keep Beth in your thoughts today, she's really not feeling well and her MS is acting up pretty badly. She had almost completed a post to talk to you all, and hit a button and accidentally deleted it.
Sitting at her computer for any length of time is nearly impossible since the surgery so this was really frustrating for her.

Obviously, the welts were hives ... an allergic reaction to something. Other than a couple of fleas !!! there was nothing else.
IT'S TIME FOR BRAVECTO AGAIN!
I guess surgery has my brain fogged more than usual. I have no doubt most of you know how I reacted to the fleas.
Bailey also had an ear infection. Dr. Martin said her ear looked great until just around the "turn." After my reaction to the fleas, I think she wanted to make sure I knew her ears were clean. Dr. Martin knows I will be incapacitated from surgery for a bit longer. (My surgeon is still telling me no bending, stretching or anything else required to care for my babies.)
So... I am still having to pay for additional help with the dogs ... and now I need to order Bravecto again.
I hate to keep asking for help ... but if you can help ... PLEASE.

Miss Bailey's vet visit went well. Thank you for helping her get the care she needed. Zyrtec had worked incredibly well on the itching. For anyone who doesn't already know, Zyrtec is much better than Benedryl.
Obviously, the welts were hives ... an allergic reaction to something. Other than a couple of fleas !!! there was nothing else.

I guess surgery has my brain fogged more than usual. I have no doubt most of you know how I reacted to the fleas.

Please Share.

This is Beth. We need to get this girl to the vet. She is covered with an itching rash and welts. Some of the welts are weeping. She is losing her hair and the itching is making her miserable. I have NO CLUE what is causing this.
I called the vet today and she has told us to give her 10mg of Zyrtec every 12 hours until we can get her in on Monday. She has an appointment at 10.
I do not know everything she will need to do ... most certainly a skin scraping. In addition to any tests, she will need medication. Based on past experiences, I am guessing somewhere between $300. and $400.
My problem is, as usual, we are running on empty.
