🎉

In honor of Dolly Parton’s life and work, it is an honor to proclaim 9/25 “9 to 5 Day – or Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Day of Reading.”

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has helped millions of children discover the joy of reading, including more than 240,000 children across North Carolina. Her generosity has also made a difference for families in western North Carolina recovering from Hurricane Helene.

Dolly has left an incredible mark on our state and on generations of children, and it’s an honor to recognize her legacy.

Give Like Dolly Day is coming September 25.

Dolly Parton believed every child deserves the opportunity to dream big, and through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, millions of children have received books that help make those dreams possible.

On September 25, communities across the country will come together to celebrate Dolly's legacy by supporting local Imagination Library programs. Here in North Carolina, your support helps children receive a free, high-quality book every month from birth to age 5.

Join Smart Start in helping more children discover the joy of reading this Friday, 9/25!
