New advanced camping technology news today!

Today, Northern Tier is proud to introduce our state-of-the-art P.A.W.S. (Protective Autonomous Weight-lifting System).

The P.A.W.S. system will replace the traditional rope-and-pulley method of hanging bear bags, which is labor-intensive. This simple system will ensure your food is protected without the hassle of manually lifting your food.

This new system functions in sentry mode through the night, using lidar detection along with artificial intelligence to scan the environment for approaching bears. Once a bear has been detected and perceived as a threat. The autonomous flight kicks on. The P.A.W.S., along with up to 200lbs of payload, swiftly take off, reaching a height of 50ft in less than 2 seconds. The autonomous flight will then hold its position for up to 4 hours while the bear moves on.

We are confident that his new system will revolutionize backcountry bear protection for the 21st century!

Starting on April 1st, all Northern Tier crews will be issued the P.A.W.S. system, and soon, the Northern Tier P.A.W.S. will be coming to a high adventure base near you!

We were honored to celebrate the incredible achievements of the Eagle Scout Class of 2025 and recognize our 2025 National Outstanding Eagle Scout Award recipients, Tim Guim, Chris Gehringer, and Justin LoMonaco.

A special thank you to our keynote speaker, Dr. Kevin Shaloo, for delivering an inspiring and memorable address. We are also grateful to the Garden State Council, Elks, and Masons of NJ for making this night possible.

Congratulations to all the Eagle Scouts. Your leadership and service inspire us all!

THANK YOU! We are still working on our final count, but it looks like this has been our largest food drive in recent memory by about 17%. The Scouts of Cinnaminson and Palmyra appreciate being part of such a generous community!

This weekend, Scouts from Cinnaminson BSA Troop 70, Cinnaminson Cub Scout Pack 59 and Palmyra's Cub Scout Pack 9 Palmyra, NJ, Boy Scout Troop 9 Palmyra, NJ and Venturing Crew 9 will leave donation bags on homes around their communities asking for donations of food. Scouts will return one week later to collect those donations! Expect Scouts going door-to-door in service to this community-wide food drive. Thanks for your support! And special thanks to Associated Builders and Contractors - New Jersey Chapter for donating all the reusable bags this year year!
