Great work by all departments to get this under control quickly. With high winds, unharvested fields and nearby homes the outcome couldn’t have been much better then it was. It really shows the importance of calling 911 quickly and departments quickly requesting mutual aid as daytime calls are tough for all volunteer departments.

Our crew and little ones had a great time participating in the annual Aber days parade in Abercrombie as well as the night to unite in Kindred over the last couple weekends.

Christine Fire and Rescue had the privilege of hosting a school bus extrication class today (7/25). Although we hope we never receive this call, to have the knowledge and skills if we ever do is critical when seconds count.

Thank you to the North Dakota Firefighter's Association for providing amazing instructors.

It was a hot one today for the crew. Our annual community service project this year was shingling the parks pavilion. The park board provided the materials and members of Christine Fire and Rescue provided the labor.

Special thank you to Curb to Curb for providing the tools and equipment for the job. Additionally thank you to local resident Kevin M who seen us working and gave up his morning to lend a hand.

With the assistance of a grant one of our members wrote. Christine Fire was able to get some new helmets. Our previous helmets were 10-15 years old and therefore were expired and of old standards.

We were also able to get two helmets for future members. If your’re interested in joining and helping your community stop by the first or third Thursday of the month at 7.

Additionally, the annual fireworks display will occur as usual. Thank you to everyone that has donated.

If you or your family has had the privilege of enjoying this for years and are interested in donating for next years display, Jason K. Allen or any of the bar tenders at the bar can accept donations, along with any of the department members you see sitting outside the firehall watching the display. Let’s help keep the tradition alive.

Well we spend time with family and friends today let’s not forget the meaning of the day.
