On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we honor the histories, cultures and continuing contributions of Indigenous peoples.

Safe Space Chico acknowledges that we live and work on the ancestral homelands of the Mechoopda Indian Tribe of Chico Rancheria, whose connection to this land continues today.

We encourage our neighbors to learn more directly from the Tribe: https://www.mechoopda-nsn.gov/

Communication, case management, advocacy, outreach and direct service all have a place here.

Public health takes all of us.
