Cradles to Crayons Chicago

Our Service Partners are a big part of making sure children and families get the essentials they need, when they need them most.

At our Chicago Giving Factory, we work with more than 117 Service Partners who order clothing, diapers, and other essentials based on the needs of the children and families they serve.

From there, our team prepares and packs each order at the Giving Factory, and our Service Partners pick them up and deliver them directly to families in their communities.

For families, something as simple as a fresh pack of diapers or a new outfit can provide immediate relief and remind them; they’re not alone.

Together, our Service Partners help us distribute more than 2 million essential items every year across Chicagoland.

We’re incredibly grateful to our service partners who help make this work possible! 💜

We are excited to share that All Our Kids Network: Cicero-Berwyn is officially a Cradles to Crayons Drop-off Location! 🎉

We celebrated with a ribbon cutting for the community yesterday and had such a great time with our partners and local community members! 💜

The bin is ready to accept clothing and shoe donations, in the back lot of the Youth Crossroads Cicero office located at 5533 W. 25th Street.

Today's the day! 🌞 We hope to see many of you at the Sustainability Market located in Northcenter Town Square. We will be collecting clothing and shoes of all sizes and conditions from 10 am - 4 pm! 👚👟
If you are donating anything to recycle, you can help our team sort through everything quicker by labeling it as "Not Quality". This helps us direct items directly to our textile recycling bins! 💚♻

We had a special moment this week that we wanted to share!

Our CEO, Christine Morin, ran into some wonderful people from City Year volunteering at the Chicago Giving Factory. City Year members took part in volunteer shifts, helping sort and prepare essential items for children in the community.

Their work helps give Chicagoland children access to the essentials they need to thrive—and we’re so grateful for their continued support.
Thank you to everyone who came out to volunteer and to City Year for being part of our mission! 💜

Meet Our Colleague: Rachel Vasquez✨

Rachel is Chicago's Manager of Community Engagement and has been with C2C for almost 5 years. She oversees the community engagement team and efforts in the community, whether it's collection drives, community events, or drop-off location partnerships.

She says that her experience has been incredibly fulfilling, and as someone who grew up in a low-income area, she knows firsthand the need communities have. Additionally, she loves being able to teach kids how to give back and support their communities, helping shape them
into future leaders who will be compassionate and care about making a difference. Last year, Rachel received an award from the Young
Nonprofit Professionals Network for Supervisor of the Year.

Outside of C2C, she has a 2-year-old golden retriever, Benny, and loves to go on hiking and outdoor adventures with him and her husband. She's also a sports lover and will cheer for every Chicago team (minus the Cubs).

We appreciate the passion, positivity, and excitement that Rachel brings to our mission 💙
