It is our conviction that the health of the Church depends on the proclamation of God’s Word.

We provide practical training to preach and teach God’s Word through regional Workshops, residential training, and online resources to create greater gospel access for everyone.

September was a full month of workshops! Pastors and Bible teachers from Southeast LA, Tennessee, the Philippines, and Argentina, gathered to study God's Word together and grow in faithful preaching. Thank you to the host pastors and volunteers who made these workshops possible, and to every preacher and teacher who took part. See where training took place this month.

Were you at one of these workshops? Share one thing you're taking back to your church or ministry in the comments!

The good news of God sending His Son stands at the center of history, and the Gospels and Acts carry that message from the first days of the church until now. The Gospels & Acts online course equips preachers and Bible teachers to handle the rich blend of narrative, discourse, prophecy, and theology in these five books through clear instruction and sample expositions, so they can proclaim Christ with confidence and joy.

What a gift to gather with nearly 50 Chicago Course on Preaching alumni and students at Union Tabernacle Baptist Church!

Over dinner, old friends and new heard from David Helm and Jeremy Meeks about God's grace through the years. One graduate, David Daniels, put it this way: “This course is the best for helping preachers make progress in their preaching.”

Thank you to Union Tabernacle for hosting us, and to everyone who helped make our gathering so memorable.

The prophets spoke to ancient Israel in oracles, visions, and poetry that can feel distant to modern listeners, yet their words remain God's Word for the church today. The Prophetic Literature online course equips preachers and Bible teachers to understand this genre in its original setting and preach it with clarity and faithfulness. Through eight lessons, including sample expositions, plus bonus features and downloadable resources, you'll gain tools you can bring straight to your study.

Which prophetic book have you found most challenging to preach or teach?

Walter Carter III, known around the CST as Supe, is one of our instructors at the Chicago Course on Preaching and preaches with the same conviction he brings to the classroom. Ask his students, they will tell you.

In this passage from Matthew 6, he reminds us that worry adds nothing to our lives, but our Father already knows exactly what we need.

Meet Nicolás Osorio! He pastors Iglesia Bautista Renacer in Bogotá, Colombia, and has served as CST's Associate Director of Spanish-Language Initiatives since May 2018, planning and leading our Workshops across South America and supporting our Online Courses.

He still remembers his first CST Workshop, realizing there was so much more to preaching than he'd known.

Help us thank Nicolás for all his work in the comments!

Pastor Godfrey Thulani Chigumbura came to last month's Workshop in Johannesburg to sharpen his preaching. His biggest takeaway was a call to godly character. "We're not just professionals," he says. "God is ministering to us... From that fruit, then, we are able to share with others." He's now planning to bring more pastors from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe to next year's Workshop.

See how God is shaping pastors around the globe, and pray with us that they keep watch over their teaching and their lives.
