Good afternoon brother and sisters, a formal grievance has been filed against Peoples Gas regarding contractors. Stand strong and stay vigilant. We will take this all the way!!!

It has come to the Executive Boards attention that there has been some confusion regarding contractors going into the house and what we are doing to fight this. Once we found out that the company was moving forward on this threat, we acted by filing NLRB charges. This is the first step of many to protect our traditional work. Stand strong and remain vigilant. Call your steward, shop officer or the hall to report any inconsistent behavior by this inexperienced workforce.

The Citizen Soldier award goes to those who have demonstrated their commitment to those that served this country. Rick Passarelli, a Navy Veteran himself is a true example of that. His vision to create the Utilityworker Military Assistance Program (UMAP)was honored by the Pritzker Military Library. This nationally recognized program has put Local 18007 and UWUA on the map!!

Let us never forget where we were that day 9-11-01..

Our parents would remember horrible days, where were they when Our Lady of Angel's fire happened, when Kennedy was shot, when Martin Luther KingJr. was killed. Their parents, it was the attack on Pearl Harbor .

Let us never forget where we were that day 9-11-01...

Today Local 18007 honored those lives lost that day by lowering the flags at every shop.

John "Pooch"Puchalski gave a great tribute to his life long friend James "Ducky" Kostka. Pooch has been a great ally since this tragedy struck us all, and has been a huge advocate for Unity and Strength for Local 18007.
