Teamsters Local 705 had a huge turn out for our General Membership Meeting on Sunday, April 19th. At the meeting the Local 705 actuaries did a presentation on Local 705's historic pension increase for our members.

A MESSAGE FROM TEAMSTERS LOCAL 705 PRINCIPAL OFFICER JUAN CAMPOS:

Over the last several weeks there has been a lot of talk about the Driver Choice Program offered by UPS.

We went from being excluded by UPS, without the company ever attempting to negotiate with Local 705 on the terms of the buyout, to now hearing, as many of you did this past Friday, that the Union is somehow to blame for the program not being offered.

Local 705 will not stand in the way of our members receiving opportunities or financial benefits. But we cannot and will not agree to any program that allows UPS to bypass the contract, ignore seniority, or violate the rights that our members have fought for and earned.
