Dunham Baseball Organization

Dunham Park, located in the Northwest Side of Chicago, is the home to a competitive, family friendly baseball league for kids ages 4-18.

The Dunham Baseball Organization is a community-based, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that promotes baseball instruction, competition, and sportsmanship for 250 children ages 4 to 18 years old. The DBBO tradition dates back to 1968 and is based at the Chicago Park District Dunham Park. The organization relies 100% on its parent volunteers to coach and to operate the league. The baseball season runs from April to July. Dunham Baseball Organization is a chartered member of Little League International. The boys of summer get ready for three months of baseball. We start around April 1st with a team organizational meeting and practices. Games begin around May 1st and continue through end of June. Each team, Rookie level and above, plays 16 games over 2 months, typically one game during the week and one each Saturday. T-ball plays games only on Saturdays. There are generally no games held over Memorial Day or Fourth of July weekends. May 1st is the cutoff for determining age for each division.

⚾ ONE LAST RIDE IS COMING TO CHICAGO ⚾

TONUGHT’S THE NIGHT!

Dunham Baseball is excited to host a special FREE community screening of One Last Ride on Friday, August 21.

One Last Ride is a youth baseball documentary following one team through its final season together—but the story is about much more than wins and losses. It’s about failure, adversity, resilience, teamwork, friendship, and the life lessons this game gives our kids.

Following the film, we’ll have a live panel discussion with coaches, players, and members of the baseball community to talk about those lessons and what we can do to create a positive experience for young athletes.

📅 Friday, August 21, 2026
⏰ 6:00–8:00 PM
📍 Dunham Park Gym
4638 North Melvina Ave.
Chicago, IL 60630

Admission is FREE and everyone is welcome — players, parents, coaches, families, friends, and members of the greater Chicago baseball community.

There is no donation required to attend. For those who would like to support the project, donations to NOVA Productions Media are appreciated and help bring One Last Ride to communities like ours while supporting future socially impactful storytelling projects.

Come watch the film, stay for the conversation, and celebrate what makes this game so special.

The game eventually ends. The lessons and relationships stay with us.

⚾ Friday, August 21 — we hope to see you there!
