Friends and fellow gardeners,
The first half of 2012 has seen our garden grow from an idea and an empty lot to a vibrant community space providing food for its member volunteers and beauty for the neighborhood.
With a little bit of cash and A LOT of hard work, we've accomplished more in our first few months of operation than I thought we would accomplish in our first year. It never ceases to amaze me every time I enter the garden, how much progress we've made.
We have a number of projects that we need to accomplish during the remainder of the 2012 growing season that require additional investment, namely:
- Securing our 501c(3), non-profit status
- Purchasing building materials for an on-site, secure shed for storage
- Building and installing a composting system
- Continue garden beautification projects (patio, grass seed, mulch, clean-up efforts, etc)
Please take a moment to review our Indiegogo fund raising site below. With your generous donation you can help the Met West Community Garden continue to keep on enhancing the West Town neighborhood and surrounding community!
And please be sure to share the Met West Community Garden story with your friends and family!
Thanks!
