HANA is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to phonebank Korean and Asian American voters across Illinois. We’ll provide everything you need to get started, including training and materials.

No long-term commitment required! Sign up for as many or as few shifts as you’d like, whatever your availability allows for.

Phonebanking takes place virtually and in person on Mondays–Thursdays and Saturdays from September 21 through Election Day, November 3, 2026.

Full moon, full plates, full hearts 🌕

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Chuseok Party at Maxwells Trading, presented by Resy and Joong Boo Market! HANA was proud to bring some tradition to the party with a pungmul performance by our Korean drumming group IlGwaNoRi and a jesa table honoring our ancestors, and it was a joy to share it with you all.

Yesterday, HANA's Executive Director Danae Kovac and other community leaders witnessed the unveiling of Congresswoman Delia Ramirez's Reimagining Safety Act, which would dismantle DHS and abolish ICE.

This community-led legislation would create a new federal department that promotes safety, repeal the authorities that give the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) its power, and redirect funds to programs that support working families.

Thank you, Congresswoman Ramirez, for putting forward this bold vision for dismantling DHS and investing in our community!
