Join Us for a Safer, Cleaner Energy Neighbor Action Night!

Gas bills are rising across Chicago — but why, and what can we do about it? This January, Peoples Gas proposed raising rates once again, by an average of $10.60 per month. If approved in full, Peoples Gas rates will have increased by 71% in just 4 years.

Join your neighbors at 6:30pm Tuesday, February 24 at DANK Haus German American Cultural Center for an informative and action-focused evening on the subject hosted by Illinois PIRG in collaboration with Ravenswood Neighbors Association, Greater Rockwell Organization and other local neighborhood groups.

This community gathering will break down what’s behind the recent Peoples Gas rate hike filing, how it could impact your household budget, and what steps you can take to reduce costs now and in the future. The event will kick-start a more regular series on affordability and other community-wide issues.

Come meet and mingle with neighbors, learn about the issue, and find out how we can work together to protect our community. Food will be provided!

HOLS and GRO are partnering to host this screening of Join or Die because we hope to inspire more neighbors to get involved with local clubs and organizations (including ours!). RSVPS are strongly encouraged, as space is limited.
