HALLOWEEN is upon us again! And Oct. 31, 2025 is a Friday night (with the Fri./Sat. night curfew at 11:00pm). We need you to VOLUNTEER as a GOODWILL/WELCOMING AMBASSADOR more than ever this year!
Please SIGN-UP to be one as a part of CollaBOOration through the LINK or the QR CODE in the flyer below. Volunteers will gather at the Hyde Park Hyatt before their hour-long shift(s) from 6:00-11:30 to be supplied with Orange Shirts (if needed) and orange buckets full of candy to pass out to Trick or Treaters on 53rd Street. SIGN-UP too for De-Escalation Training that will be offered by UCPD from 5:15-5:45 and to bring Additional Candy donations from 5:30-6:00.
CollaBOOration is a Hyde Park organization whose mission is 'to maintain a welcoming and safe presence on Halloween night on 53rd Street" along with "building community and encouraging peace on the surrounding blocks." Volunteer GOODWILL AMBASSADORS will join up with Thaddeus Tukes Chicago Freedom Marching Band on 53rd Street as well.
P.S. The Blue Gargoyle is acting as the fiscal agent for CollaBOOration which began in 2019. Any donations made through us tagged as HALLOWEEN will be used to support their mission which we have also been supportive of since we helped initiate it as TEENS ON 53rd in 2016.
