We blinked and August is over 🤯 New after-school programming for junior high and high school students begins this month with S.P.A.R.K. along with our very first Weekend Art Lab for kiddos 8 years old and up. Be sure to snag your seat at the 🔗 in our bio!

Our first-ever Satellite Program for Aerospace Research and Knowledge (S.P.A.R.K.) launches in partnership with EdgeFlyte on Monday, September 14 and exposes high school and junior high students to a powerful new creative opportunity: the chance to design, build, and command their own miniature spacecraft. For many participants, this hands-on immersion in real space technology (the same kind used by NASA! 😯) can spark a passion that fundamentally shapes and changes their future career path. Students come away with their own functioning, fully assembled CubeSat and graduate with certifications that they can use for their academic portfolios and future resumes 💫🔭

🚀 Grades 9-12 meet Mondays & Wednesdays from 3:00-5:00 PM ($85/student for 6 weeks)
🪐 Grades 6-8 meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30-7:30 PM ($40/student for 2 weeks)

Happy first day back to school, Cheyenne! 📚✏️📓Don’t take it from us when we tell you that the Cheyenne Children’s Museum is THE place for field trips this year… Just check out these thank-you letters from elementary schoolers at Indian Paintbrush Elementary!

We’ll customize programs to fit your class’s needs 🧑‍🏫📝🚌 Split your Tuesday reservation into 1 hour of play + 1 hour of programming, or go with 45 minutes of play + 45 minutes of programming + 30 minutes for lunch. However you plan your visit, we’ll help make it a great one!

🧑‍💻 The Elevation Design Lab is a $75, 7-week intensive digital arts course and the Satellite Program for Aerospace Research and Knowledge (S.P.A.R.K.) is a STEM-based $85, 6-week course for high schoolers or a $40, 2-week course for junior high students. These programs allow us to expand our reach beyond our usual 0-9 year olds to Cheyenne-area pre-teens and teenagers (because the children’s museum is for everyone!).

If those prices are a barrier for you, we don’t want it to stop you from joining us! Warehouse 21 has graciously agreed to sponsor scholarships for the Elevation Design Lab and another generous sponsor will be supporting scholarships for S.P.A.R.K.

Inclusion Night is BACK next week on Monday, August 24 from 5-7PM! We’re thrilled to partner with Wyoming Parent Information Center to offer a calmer, more welcoming museum experience for children with differently abled bodies or sensory challenges to explore and play comfortably at their own pace. 🤗

Softer lighting. Reduced noise. Low stimulation. We’re also limiting the amount of people we have in the museum during these hours, so please claim your spot ahead of time at the 🔗 in our bio! Because everyone deserves to play. ❤️

🤸 Have little athletes ages 2-5 that want to try a new sport, make new friends, and engage in a sports series that keeps them active all summer long?! Older siblings are welcome to join the fun too!

🌱 Join Coach Becca of Sprout & Shine - Childhood Enrichment for a final 30 minutes of guided, playful coaching of BASKETBALL this Thursday, August 20 at 11am at the Cheyenne Children’s Museum!

🫶 Included with your museum membership or daily admission and Coach handles the balls and props. Just bring the positivity of trying something new!
