Cheyenne Kennel Club Cheyenne Wyoming Local AKC Dog Club The Cheyenne Kennel Club has been a part of the community since 1948 with our first dog show held on June 27, 1948.

Today we host a three day event in Cheyenne (typically Labor Day Weekend), which includes one day of all obedience and rally competitions and two days of conformation shows. Our club members consist of local citizens with a passion for canines to educate our community about pure bred dogs such as responsible dog ownership with focus on obedience training and health issues common to pure bred dogs. These events, which are open to the public, draw to our community approximately 900-1,000 dogs with their handlers/owners from across the nation. Our annual show helps our club generate funds of which we donate back to local animal welfare organizations.
