As the Dubois 2026 trip comes to a close we want to thank our host Jeramie Prine of the Rams Horn Guest Ranch for his gracious hospitality. The Prine families dedication to Platte Rivers Veterans Fly Fishing the last 15 years has been remarkable. It was our honor at this year’s PRVFF banquet to induct the Prine family in to our sponsors hall of fame. Thank you Prine family for everything!

Well today’s events of Dubois 2026 was much better than we hoped for. After a night of rain and most of the water is blown out we did find some clear water to fish. Took a trip to the fish hatchery so remind us what the trout look like. Some went to the Veterans National Museum of Military Vehicles and toured that all day. All in all it was another awesome day in paradise.

Another beautiful morning for the Dubois 2026 trip. Headed off to the lake hoping to dodge the rain today. We did well but the storms did catch up to us. We did have some fishing opportunities with one cutthroat caught by or trip lead. Lots of little brookies too. Using all this time to create bonds and friendships to last a lifetime.

Great first day of the Dubois trip 2026. Traveled through some of the most beautiful places in Wyoming. The Rams Horn Guest Ranch was worth every mile to get here. Stay tuned for more updates.

Well it’s happening with a few weeks of 90+ degree temperatures and the rivers we fish in surrounding states are going under hoot owl restrictions. What is hoot owl? In most cases where the water warms up to over 70 degrees catching fish is very stressful on them. Usually a time limit of midnight to 2:00 PM and you need to be off the water at 2:00 PM. So certain rivers are coming under these restrictions. Please check before hitting the river to make sure of current restrictions.

Today Platte Rivers Veterans Fly Fishing participated in the Laramie Jubilee Days Parade in Laramie Wyoming. That’s a great float there gentlemen!
