Last week, we were blessed with an incredible opportunity to serve our community!
Stoltzfus Trucking, a family-owned trucking company based in Philadelphia, partners with gospel-centered food pantries across the country to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus in a unique way. Through their relationships with local grocery stores, Michael and Earl regularly receive pallets of overstock food, which they then deliver to food pantries that use these resources as an opportunity to serve their communities and have gospel-centered conversations.
Last week, they blessed Calvary Chapel with pallets of pretzels and chips to distribute throughout our community. We received 176 cases of pretzels, 100 cases of chips, and thousands of individual bags of chips!
With the help of our amazing Food Pantry volunteers, Mark Stege and John Frank, we were able to make donations to the Salvation Army, Allen Church, and the Senior Center, while also providing food to individuals who came directly to our doors after seeing our announcement on Facebook.
What a blessing, and what an opportunity! This gift opened the doors of Calvary Chapel to people who may have never otherwise stepped inside a church. We are so grateful for every opportunity God gives us to share the love of Christ with our community, both through meeting practical needs and building relationships.
We praise God for what He is doing through Stoltzfus Trucking as they partner with Calvary Chapel Philadelphia and gospel-centered food pantries across the nation. What a beautiful picture of the body of Christ working together to serve others and point people to Jesus!
