Congratulations to Elias Gatmaitan for winning the 18 & Under Boys and Skyla Hockenberger for winning the 18 and Under Girls in the Colorado Junior State Championships Qualifier for the 2026 BEF Junior National Championships! 🎱🔥

We are so incredibly proud of both of you!

You have both put in countless hours on the pool tables this year and have trained extremely hard. Watching that hard work pay off is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

Keary, Aurie and I really enjoy watching both of you compete and continue to grow as players.

Eli, you are a true champion and have already accomplished so much in such a short time. Your focus, confidence and determination at the table continue to impress us every tournament.

Skyla, you are such a hard working well-rounded athlete. The dedication and effort you put into everything you do really shows, and we love seeing you continue to challenge yourself and succeed.

Both of you make this league what it is. Seeing our juniors compete, grow, succeed and win is the greatest reward we could ask for.

We can't wait to see what's next for both of you! 🎱🏆

What a season it’s been for the Cheyenne Junior Pool League. We kicked things off in October and honestly… it feels like we haven’t slowed down since.
November brought the Special Olympics tournament and Rocky Mountain Singles. We headed to Loveland for Adult/Jr Scotch Doubles, celebrated at our December Christmas Party Tournament, and traveled to Nebraska for more Adult/Jr competition.
January was packed with the Gold Star, the Rocky Mountain Team Tournament, Bev Walker/Jarrold Harris Scotch Doubles, and more Adult/Jr events!!!
February kept us rolling with the Dave Rogers Singles and our own Cheyenne Jr Pool League Open Singles Tournament. BCAPL World’s Jr Championships in Vegas can never be forgotten. Plus, trainings in between all of it.
It’s been a busy, competitive and exciting season full of learning and teamwork.
We saw rock star winners, champions, kids battling through tough matches, first-time competitors stepping up, and players gaining new skills and knowledge every month. Everyone fought hard all the way to the end. Some surprised themselves. That’s what makes it so fun.
We are so lucky to be part of this wonderful group of Cheyenne junior pool players and families.
None of this happens without the people who support us!

It’s been a full season with lots of matches, lots of miles, lots of growth, and a whole lot of pool. Proud of every junior who showed up and gave it their best, but we are just getting started….
Next stop on the Jr. Pool Tour is Wyoming State and Best of the West Jr. Singles. Then BEF National Pool Championships in Debuque, IA and Junior Pool VNEA Championships in Sioux City NE. We will start training for Nationals in May. Reach out if anyone is interested.

Congrats to Elias Gatmaitan for his strong finish in Vegas at the in the CSI BCAPL Adult Bronze Division 8 Ball Singles 9th - 16th winning $1,100. Junior 8 Ball Singles he made it to the finals and got 5th - 8th place. In the Junior 9 Ball Singles He got 9th - 12th. What a great showing in Vegas this year Elias. You played like a champ for your first time playing in Vegas. Way to represent!
