Researchers are studying whether amivantamab, a drug already approved for certain lung cancers, could become a new tool against mesothelioma.

It targets two proteins on cancer cells at once, blocking growth signals while also alerting the immune system to attack the tumor. Early lab studies have shown real promise, with notably slowed tumor growth and no major safety concerns in these models.
