The mission of FOB is to empower families in Honduras through healthcare and education. At the core of this mission is a love of humanity and service.

FOB provides ongoing sustainable health care for communities in remote areas of Honduras. Our mission is to improve the lives of Honduran children and families in need by providing high-quality sustainable medical care and enabling communities to become self sufficient through health-related training and education.

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Dr. Rodrigo Martinez.

Dr. Rodrigo was a renowned physician in Honduras, having had a 40-year career in medicine in San Pedro Sula. He was also a wonderful friend to our organization for many years. As a board member and chair of our Medical Advisory Committee, he provided wise counsel and guidance. He was an integral part of decisions made for our organization during the pandemic and his impact led to many improvements in our programming. He had a kind spirit and was extremely generous of his time and wisdom. His legacy of service will live on through the many lives touched each year by our organization. His special spirit will forever be in our hearts.

Our hearts are with his family.
