The truth will stand when all else fails.

President Trump has championed the U.S. steel industry, promising to strengthen it and to impose stiff tariffs on foreign metals to shield manufacturers from overseas competitors. Yet the White House is said to have secured tens of millions of dollars worth of donated foreign steel from ArcelorMittal, a Luxembourg-based firm, for Trump’s $400 million ballroom project. Trump said last October that he had been offered a donation of steel for the ballroom valued at $37 million. IRONWORKERS Local 704 would like to congratulate Marlo Lugo on winning Local 704’s Apprenticeship competition this weekend. Marlon will go on to compete in Miami at the S.E.S.D.C. Outstanding Apprenticeship competition this summer. We would also like to congratulate Greyson Ragsdale and Elijah Griggs for competing and representing our apprenticeship.

Happy holidays! Sheet Metal Workers #5 and volunteers from other locals are distributing FREE FOOD from now until it's all gone at Soddy Daisy Veterans' Park (9000 Dayton Pike) in Soddy Daisy. No ID needed, just come and get some for yourself or a neighbor in need! Solidarity doesn't end at the workplace. Thanks to the donors and volunteers making this happen.
