Hamilton County Coalition Hamilton County Coalition is a Regional Coalition Resource working to facilitate community change. school drop outs, risky sexual behavior, and DUI fatalities

•Decrease drug use and abuse in Hamilton County
•Increase the capacity of existing coalitions & leverage community resources
•Mobilize grass root community efforts
•Implement the Strategic Prevention Framework

OUR OBJECTIVES:

Intervention/Prevention: We are working w/community partners who serve as mentors and provide hands on training and certification: i.e. Young Citizen Academy, We strive to deter gang/drug related activities and other negative behaviors. We are working with community partners, building prevention capacities at the community level. Neighborhood Revitalization: Working with Neighborhood Associations, helping them become empowered to patrol and maintain a clean, safe environment for themselves and others, Educating vendors through State Certified TIPs Classes, and providing information to neighborhood association to keep them informed on changes in the community that may adversely affect the community. Law Enforcement: Working to prevent the onset and reduce the use/abuse of substances, including underage drinking, among 12-21 year olds, Helping to reduce substance abuse problems i.e.

Thank you to the Better Business Bureau and Hamilton County Sheriff's Office - TN for a Successful Drug Take Back and community event on October 3rd. 316 lbs of medication was collected and safely removed from homes and is now being properly disposed.

If you want to help our environment and keep your love ones safe but did not get a chance to come out and drop off your unused or expired medication‘s, you have another opportunity.

Hamilton County Coalition and Partners will be hosting Drug Take Back drop off locations in communities throughout region 3 South for this year’s DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

🌿 Exploring Recovery Resources at The Ranch Tennessee!

Yesterday, our Lifeline Coordinators had the opportunity to tour The Ranch Tennessee, and learn more about its unique approach to substance use and mental health treatment.

Situated on approximately 2,700 acres, The Ranch combines evidence-based treatment with experiential therapies, including equine therapy, adventure therapy, and even zip lining!

Tours like these allow us to build meaningful partnerships, expand our knowledge of available treatment options, and better connect individuals and families with resources that meet their unique needs.

Recovery is not one-size-fits-all, and meaningful connections help strengthen pathways to healing! 💜💙

On Saturday, our Lifeline Adrianna and our Regional Overdose Prevention Specialist Jennifer joined together for Revival for Recovery!

It was an incredibly impactful event filled with powerful testimonies, messages of faith, hope, healing, and meaningful conversations about strengthening collaboration between the faith and recovery communities.

We were grateful for the opportunity to share resources, build meaningful connections, and come alongside others who share a passion for bringing hope and support to individuals and families impacted by substance use.

Have you met our prevention team yet? Meet Adrianna and Bella, Hamilton County Coalition’s prevention specialist. This week they have been busy in the schools presenting to students on the dangers of va**ng, ni****ne, ma*****na, and the dangers of other substances and long-term consequences.

They also had an opportunity to stop by Orchard K**b Middle School Family Night and Hispanic Heritage Celebration to provide resources and information to parents on how to start the conversations around substance misuse.

Today, Lifeline, Hybrid Lifeline, and ROPS spent the day in Grundy and Sequatchie Counties strengthening community partnerships and identifying resources.

In Grundy County, we collaborated with local prevention, recovery, and faith-based organizations to identify available services, address gaps, and explore ways to better support individuals and families. We also visited Life Choices, where we discussed the growing need for recovery support among the pregnant women they serve.

In Sequatchie County, we visited Next Step Resources to introduce our services and build connections for future collaboration.

Every connection is an opportunity to bridge gaps, reduce barriers, and ensure that hope, help, and recovery are accessible to those who need them. 💜

Last night in Meigs County, Lifeline Coordinator Adrianna and Faith-Based Coordinator Kate had the opportunity to present Overcoming Compassion Fatigue & Burnout to CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).

CASA advocates spend so much of themselves showing up for children and families during incredibly difficult seasons. This training was an opportunity to remind those who care for others that caring for themselves matters, too.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to support the people who are out there every day supporting others. 💜

Our Lifeline Coordinator Adrianna and Prevention Specialist Tae had the opportunity to participate in Life Maze with Rhea Middle School 8th graders, helping students learn about healthy choices, real-life consequences, and the community resources available to support them. We love getting to be part of prevention work that reaches young people early and reminds them that the choices they make today can help shape the life they build tomorrow. 💜
