WHEN WE WALK BY- BOOK CLUB

The CHATT Foundation invites you to read this book with us as we expand our understanding of homelessness in Chattanooga. We will also join students at UTC's campus on October 29th for a panel discussion. You are welcome to join us!

WHEN WE WALK BY is a book that examines chronic homelessness in America as a crisis of failing social systems and lost human connection.

• Twin Crises: The authors argue that homelessness stems from broken social services and a societal failure of empathy.
• Relational Poverty: The book explores the emotional and social distance between housed and unhoused people.
• Dispelling Myths: It tackles common misconceptions, such as the ideas that all unhoused people struggle with addiction or refuse to work.
