The Chattanooga Free Store is a completely non-religious, volunteer run, mutual aid coalition. Our core belief is that everyone deserves to live well, and to be able to meet their basic needs. We believe that the solution to hunger, poverty, and other material inequality, is not more top-down, means-tested charity from people who do not live in our communities, but that the solution is for communi

ties to build their own systems and structures to care for each other. Communities, neighborhoods, and families, know better than anyone what they need, and we believe in listening to them and working with them, instead of just assuming we know how to help. Did you know? The free store is COMPLETELY volunteer run- no one is getting paid to do this work. It takes at minimum 37 volunteers a week to keep this place running.

In the middle of an overdose crisis, affordability should never be a barrier to survival. We try to keep this lifesaving medication in stock but can use your help.
