Celebrating Worker Power at UNC Chapel Hill May Day and Every Day. Join The Workers Union at UNC Friday May 1st in a picnic on the quad (polk place) 11 - 1p. PB&J, music, and speeches provided. That evening we are hosting a fundraising social, REDFEST, at 7p / Steelstring in Carrboro. In prep for our celebrations, join us on Thursday the 23rd at steelstring to make your mark on your workplace through art!

Tell UNC to stop penalizing housekeepers for using earned time off! Sign the petition NOW! (link in bio)

Housekeepers have been reporting unfair treatment when it comes to using attendance records against them for evaluations and leading to disciplinary actions. Housekeepers work hard and earn leave time and should be allowed to use it, when approved, without consequence.

Also, grad workers, has your tuition remission recently been revoked? Tell us in the form in our linktree and on the second slide of this post. Reports are coming out that departments are no longer able to support their students as the university pushes its costs onto its workers.

The grad workers at UE150 will be having a social this Thursday at 5:30pm at Northside District (403 W Rosemary St). All are welcome to invite others and stop by to enjoy a relaxing evening among friends!
