🧠 Know the Signs. Save a Life!

A big thank you to Carmel Rehnelt and Stacey Jepsen from Ridgeview Medical Center for joining Chanhassen Rotary this morning!

We appreciated their informative presentation on stroke awareness, recognizing warning signs, and the importance of acting quickly. One of the biggest takeaways? Remember to B.E. F.A.S.T.!

🔹 B – Balance: Sudden loss of balance
🔹 E – Eyes: Sudden vision changes
🔹 F – Face: Facial drooping
🔹 A – Arms: Arm weakness
🔹 S – Speech: Difficulty speaking
🔹 T – Time: Call 911 immediately!

⏱️ Every minute counts! The faster a stroke is treated, the better the chances of recovery.

🚶‍♀️❤️ 💛 We were up and at ’em early today for our local World’s Largest Polio Walk! ❤️ 💛🚶‍♂️

Today, on World Polio Day, we joined fellow Rotarians and supporters in taking steps toward a world free of polio! 🌎

Did you know?

💉 99.9% reduction! Since 1988, polio cases worldwide have dropped by more than 99.9%, thanks to the efforts of Rotary and its global partners.

🌍 More than 3 billion children! Rotary has helped immunize more than 3 billion children in 122 countries.

🇦🇫🇵🇰 We’re so close! Afghanistan and Pakistan remain the only countries where wild poliovirus is still endemic.

❤️ Every step matters. Rotary members have spent decades raising funds, supporting vaccination campaigns, and advocating for a polio-free world. The work isn’t finished until polio is eradicated everywhere.

The World’s Largest Polio Walk is about raising awareness, showing our commitment, and reminding the world that we won’t stop until every child is protected.

With Rod Provart leading Chanhassen Rotary as Club President, his motto is “Spread Joy!” And one of our shining examples of that spirit is fellow Rotarian Mark Menzuber of Christian Brothers Automotive!

Mark brings that same commitment to spreading joy into his business, where their motto, “Fixing cars, driving joy,” says it all!

We love seeing our Rotary members living out Service Above Self and making a positive difference in our community! 💙💛

🛏️ A big thank you to Tyler Johnson from The Original Mattress Factory for joining us at Chanhassen Rotary this morning!

Tyler gave us a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the company’s history, its commitment to quality craftsmanship and what goes into making a handmade mattress.

It was a great opportunity to learn more about a business that has been manufacturing mattresses in the U.S. for over 30 years!
