The “Back to the Future” movies are a science fiction trilogy created by Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale, consisting of three films released between 1985 and 1990: Back to the Future, Back to the Future Part II, and Back to the Future Part III. The story follows Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) as they travel back in time using a DeLorean time machine. BTTF is regarded as one of the best sci-fi movies ever made. The films went on to spawn video games and a stage musical.

Our DeLorean is very close recreation of the movie car (complete with the Flux Capacitor) as verified by the director. It lives in the “Crime Fighter Garage” at the Chanhassen AutoPlex. “Go Back In Time” with us the last Saturday of every month through September at our “Cars & Caves” shows.

The hit crime fighting action series “Starsky & Hutch”, starring David Soul and Paul Michael Glaser, aired from 1975-1979 on ABC. Set in Bay City, California, these two streetwise cops were on a mission to bust criminals. Their very conspicuous red and white police car was a 1975 Ford Gran Torino, call sign “Zebra 3”. Over the years, the Torino increased in popularity and became an icon of the show and of the seventies in general. Glaser remarked that the car looked like a "striped tomato". The nickname stuck, and the show's writers often worked it into the show. Check out these clips.

In 1989, Michael Keaton recreated the epic caped crusader role in “Batman”, the first Batman theatrical. He drove a wicked 20 foot long Batmobile, complete with jet engine intake, sliding canopy, giant rear bat wings, machine guns, flames, and all the necessary Bat Gadgets. Like the movie car, our Batmobile replica is powered by a Chevrolet V8 engine. It lives in the “Crime Fighter Garage” at the Chanhassen AutoPlex. Come see it the last Saturday of the month, April - September at our “Cars & Caves” shows. POW, BOOM, BAM!

Growing up, almost every kid on the block had a fire engine red Radio Flyer Wagon. Steel-bodied Flyers were produced starting wsy back in 1917. Cars Against Crime Foundation has one and it’s GIANT. “Big Red” is over 21 feet long and rides on a 1987 Ford Econline E350 Van chassis, powered by a 460 V8 engine. Seats nine. Check out that handle! You may have seen it rolling at various parades in the metro: Minneapolis Aquatennial Torchlight, Hopkins Raspberry Festival and Chanhassen July 4th. It lives at the Chanhassen AutoPlex. When you see it, you won’t believe your eyes. Guaranteed to make you smile 😊!
