Keep Chadron Beautiful's Electronics Recycling Days are back! Gather those old computers, monitors, gaming systems, printers, phones, cables, and other unwanted electronics and bring them to one of our upcoming collection events.

📍 Rushville – June 13 | 9:00 AM–1:00 PM at Rushville City Parking Lot
📍 Crawford – June 20 | 9:00 AM–1:00 PM at Crawford Community Building
📍 Chadron – June 27 | 9:00 AM–2:00 PM at Chadron Federal Credit Union

Help keep electronics out of our landfills and ensure they are recycled properly. This is a great opportunity to safely dispose of outdated technology while making a positive impact on our environment.

✅ Most electronics accepted
❌ No large appliances, hazardous waste, light bulbs, or non-electronic items

First come, first served until trailers are full!

🌱⛈️ Resilience is growing in our Kids Summer Garden Club!

After the recent hailstorm took a hard toll on our garden, our young gardeners got a firsthand lesson in something every gardener learns sooner or later: not everything goes according to plan.

This week, we talked about resilience, patience, and perseverance. We looked at the damage, learned how to tell which plants might recover and which needed replacing, and rolled up our sleeves to replant a few crops together.

Gardening teaches us that setbacks aren’t the end of the story. Sometimes growth means starting over, trying again, and trusting that with a little care and time, good things can still flourish.

We’re proud of these young gardeners for their positive attitudes and willingness to keep growing—just like their gardens! 🌻🍅🥒

🎨🌎 Chadron is becoming a hub for creativity, conversation, and environmental awareness! Come support and celebrate Irregular Rhythms: Two Landscapes Under Climate Stress — an interdisciplinary art exhibition exploring climate change, ecological instability, and our connection to the natural world.

This unique exhibit features collaborative student artwork from area middle schools and encourages our community to reflect on stewardship, place, and the environment through art.

Today was a beautiful day of digging, planting, and learning with the preschoolers at the CDC! 🌱💚

After recently helping clean out their raised garden beds, we got to work alongside these little gardeners as they planted tomatoes, cucumbers, dill, raspberry bushes, and blueberry bushes! 🍅🥒🫐

The kids learned where food comes from, why gardening matters, and how to care for growing plants. There’s nothing better than watching young hands get dirty while growing something good for the future. 🌎✨

Our very first Kids Garden Club kicked off today! 🪴We learned about companion planting and the benefits of growing our own food. Then the kids went to work immediately pulling thistle weeds and planting a wide variety of vegetables, herbs, and flowers. Lots of earthworms, roly-poly‘s, and only one garter snake.

We are looking for speakers to come educate our littles throughout the summer. If you’re interested or know somebody, shoot us a message. We meet Tuesdays from 9 to 10 AM.

BREAKING NEWS! The Chadron episode of "The Dispatch" is officially an award winner. The episode received two Telly Awards - Gold in the General - Travel & Tourism category and Silver in the Craft-Videography & Cinematography category.
