📚🍦 Looking for something fun to do this afternoon?

Keep Chadron Beautiful is excited to help the Chadron Public Library kick off their Summer Reading Program today at Wilson Park! Join us from 1:30–3:30 PM for an afternoon of fun games, reading program sign-ups, yummy snacks, and even ice cream!

The weather may be a little cool, but the fun is just getting started. Bring the kiddos, invite a friend, and come celebrate the beginning of a summer full of reading and adventure.

If you have any totes sitting around or battery packs/cell phone chargers, that would be great. And individual packets of benadryl, allergy relief, tylonal, ibuprofen, tums, small things of sunscreen, or hard candies/ cough drops, would be helpful too.
*** We could utilize AA batteries. ... and .. ..Copenhagen 😁

You can also make any monetary donations out to the Harrison Volunteer Fire Department.

🦖 What an incredible day at our Archaeology Dig! 🦖

We were blown away by the huge turnout of 51 kids who joined us today for this exciting adventure hosted in partnership with the !

Our young archaeologists learned all about dinosaurs, dug for dinosaur bones and hidden “trash” artifacts, discovered how long litter takes to decompose in the environment, and even uncovered a treasure chest filled with treasures! 🦕💎

Events like this are a fun way to spark curiosity while teaching the importance of caring for our community and environment.

A huge THANK YOU to all the kids, parents, volunteers, and library staff who helped make today such a success. We loved seeing so many smiling faces and eager explorers!

Be sure to stay tuned for our next two dinosaur-themed events coming later this summer. You won’t want to miss them! 🦖🌿

Our Kids Garden Club put in some hard work this week! 🌱💪

Before the fun began, the kids rolled up their sleeves and helped w**d the garden beds. Learning that beautiful gardens take work is an important lesson all by itself!

After their hard work, they got creative by painting colorful rocks that we’ll finish and label with plant names to use as garden markers. 🎨🪨

Grab your shovel, put on your adventure hat, and dig into the ultimate outdoor adventure. Keep Chadron Beautiful is turning their backyard into a full on excavation site, and your kiddos are the lead archeologists.

Join Chadron Public Library with Keep Chadron Beautiful at 10am this Wednesday outside the Keep Chadron Beautiful office and help us uncover hidden fossils and treasures! 🦴

We’re going to pretend we’re archaeologist from the future studying the litter we find to determine how we lived in 2026 so it’s a combination of paleontology and archeology!

Keep Chadron Beautiful's Electronics Recycling Days are back! Gather those old computers, monitors, gaming systems, printers, phones, cables, and other unwanted electronics and bring them to one of our upcoming collection events.

📍 Rushville – June 13 | 9:00 AM–1:00 PM at Rushville City Parking Lot
📍 Crawford – June 20 | 9:00 AM–1:00 PM at Crawford Community Building
📍 Chadron – June 27 | 9:00 AM–2:00 PM at Chadron Federal Credit Union

Help keep electronics out of our landfills and ensure they are recycled properly. This is a great opportunity to safely dispose of outdated technology while making a positive impact on our environment.

✅ Most electronics accepted
❌ No large appliances, hazardous waste, light bulbs, or non-electronic items

First come, first served until trailers are full!

Together, we can reduce waste, protect our natural resources, and keep our communities clean and beautiful. 🌎💚
