Season 67 is off and rolling…

We had our first read through and are super excited to share this Columbo Mystery with you!

Providing the inspiration for the TV series Columbo, the theatrical predecessor Prescription: Murder tells the story of a brilliant psychiatrist and his mistress who hatch a plot to murder his neurotic, possessive wife. The ex*****on of their plan and the creation of their perfect alibi depends on a bizarre impersonation. Lt. Columbo must engage the psychiatrist in a duel of wits until the doctor succeeds in having Columbo removed from the case. However, it is the mistress who proves to be the weak link that leads to a trap and a surprising climax!

"This is Shari’s first foray into directing! She has been volunteering at the EP for the past 10 years, serving as a costumer, a volunteer, a board member, a sponsor solicitor and all around ambassador for this wonderful theater community. This special summer project has come to life with the help of talented vocalists, our gifted vocal director, Heather, co-director Janelle, who has had ultimate patience while we navigate this new type of show. Thank you to many more who have volunteered their time to assist with all the behind the scenes projects that need to be done to put on a performance. We hope special projects like this will keep everyone connected during the usual quiet summer months between our seasons. Thank you to all who have come out to support us in this endeavor."

"Janelle is thrilled to be co-director of A Little Night of Music. She previously directed A Crazy Little Café Called Love and has appeared onstage at Evergreen Playhouse, Centralia College, Olympia Little Theater, and Connection Street Theatre; as well as several jaunts into the backstage side of shows. Janelle enjoys attending theater shows, reading, sewing, traveling, and spending time with friends. All her love to Casey and pets at home. "Tim (he/him) is excited to kick off his fifth season at Evergreen Playhouse with A Little Night (of) Music. While he directed two previous musicals, 9 to 5 and A Christmas Story, he has also sung with ensembles in The Addams Family and James and the Giant Peach as well as acted in plays such as Murder On The Orient Express (Michel), Charley’s Aunt (Sir Francis), and, most recently, Witness For The Prosecution (Dr. Wyatt). In the last year, he has also performed with Olympia Little Theatre and Connection Street Theatre as well as Seattle’s Rainbow City Color Guard. Tim loves spreadsheets, seeing his friends in shows, reading, and being an uncle to Arenndra, Angel, Serena, & Alistair! Thank you so much for spending your time with us!"
