So yesterday was just craziness....you know ur typical Monday.... Well everyday around here!🤣
Miss Meadow has made it abundantly clear that the grass is IN FACT greener on the other side! She's one of the herd that I had to move from Easley due to the farm being sold. Yesterday alone she just went right thru the fence 5 times..... I was back and forth so much I used over 1/2 tank of gas....lol. The funny thing is Meadow has been with Rocky Ridge Horse Rescue for about 6 years. She has NEVER went thru any fence at all or even tried for that matter. She doesn't even go anywhere when she does get out. Just walks down the road, to the driveway, turning in and going to stand by the water trough just on the wrong side of the fence..🤣
THIS MEANS I HAVE TO ADD MORE STRANDS OF POLY WIRE OR PURCHASE ROLLS OF WELDED WIRE FENCING, AND ALSO PURCHASE A BIGGER SOLAR POWERED HOT BOX TO ELECTRIFY THE STRANDS! This is not cheap no matter which way I go. I have to get a solar power box as running drop chords just isn't feasible where they are. I have to fix this ASAP! LIKE TODAY ASAP! So I have to raise the funds to cover the fencing as we are barely scraping by as it is buying feed , not to mention we have yet to raise enough funds to have a big load of hay hauled in. So here is what I need to make Meadow safe....

Welded wire fencing OR Poly wire-
Welded wire= $1050.00 ( 5 rolls of 60"x100ft) need 5 rolls
Poly wire= $200 (4 rolls @ $50 each)
Insulators= $60 (10 bags @$6 each)
Solar Fence Charger= $225-250 (20 mile charger)
**If I go with welded wire the cost will be $1300 ( includes wire and charger)
**To just add more strands of poly wire and electrify it the cost is $500- $600!!

1. Razor Hoverboard basically brand new. Bri got it for Christmas and hates it. She's scared of it and doesn't want it. It does come with the charger as well. And no I will not ride it to demonstrate it works cuz I need my other collarbone. $75 takes it

2. Insta360 Flo 2 PRO
This is great for people who want to record riding videos or any other action videos without holding your phone. This follows you and rotates 360 degrees. Never been used. Still has the protective plastic on it. Comes with everything you need. BRAND NEW $150

3.This is some sort of Router. It was donated by a guy who builds high end cabinets etc .... He said there's nothing wrong with it at all they just bought a new one for the company. I have no clue what it's worth or what they cost at all . $50 OBO.

4. 16 inch Tex Tan Hereford Brand Saddle. Absolutely excellent condition. This is how saddles should all be made! These older saddles are sturdy and reliable. And it's very comfortable . 7"gullet FQHB $200 FIRM

5. 15 inch no name saddle. Fair condition but it is useable. Another older well built saddle. $75 OBO

6. 15 inch saddle. According to what I've looked up online it appears to be a circle y.... Is that a fact? No because I didn't buy the saddle new. It was given to sale to benefit the rescue. Either way this saddle is so very nice! Nothing at all wrong with it and it's another older well built saddle! $300 (if I take to someone and it's confirmed a circle y price will go up)

I KNOW ITS LONG BUT I WANT TO MAKE CLEAR ON THE MAN I MET AND HIS NEEDS... this man is not a taker but a giver who deserves some help

Now that the issue with the newborn kitten is settled and she is safe I want to tell u about a wonderful man I met today......
His name is Billie Jr Shoemate and he posted he needed cat food. I've never seen him make a plea before so knew it was most needed. So I came home and took one of my bags and some cans of wet food as well. Billie was kind enough to tell me his story and invite to see the most glorious cat building u have ever seen for ferals! Especially paid for by a complete civilian. He doesn't have a rescue nor funding from donations but chooses to turn this 12x20 shed into cat heaven! It was so clean inside but very warm. He does have 1 small AC and fans but there is no insulation. I spent over an hour with Billie and his heart is genuine. Any cat that turns up he does his best to care for. I would like our little town of central to come together and do a few things for Billie and the cats and kittens he care for. I'd like to insulate his building for him which would totally help on keeping the cold air in! Styrofoam would be best so if there are any contractors out there who have this and are going to throw it away I will pick it up and do it piece by piece of I have to. While there I noticed this tiny kitten just not acting like the others and told him I was worried for it and asked his permission to bring it home to try and save it. This cutie was covered in fleas and ear mites and very weak and frail. Thanks to my friend Kristy Michele Mckinney we got her all cleaned up and medicated what we could as the smallest mistake can kill her. She's now nestled in my room after eating some nice chicken.
**This means all of the cats and kittens there need flea treatment , and there are a few that need fixed. I WILL NOT TOLERATE HATEFUL COMMENTS ON THIS. This is a man who's heart is in the very correct place but he is overwhelmed. He doesn't want the cats gone he just needs a little help with what I've said above. How many other people in our town have 12x20 sheds they choose to turn into a feral cat haven? none I know of. So I truly feel after all the time I spent with him he truly deserves this help! I will insulate his building for him myself I just need the product! If u want to speak to me please call or text me at 864-623-8137. UPDATE!! WE HAVE A $1000 DONATION MATCH!! All donations up to $1000 will be matched and we desperately need it!! Even if new ones aren't brought in we are still responsible for all of the horses still here that haven't been or can't be adopted!! Thank you guys and love y'all!!

We need some funds to have several feet done ASAP as well as fly spray and some medical supplies to treat some reactions from these horrible flies. I'll also need to make a feed run next week. We go through fly spray like water and we just haven't been able to recover financially from the loss of Rocky, and then China. The hits just keep coming. I also am going to try my best and get my sanctuary herd moved this week and I know they also need their feet done as well!! So if you can donate please do. if not just share and say a prayer for us! 🚩🚩 Emergency rescue
late last night I was contacted and asked to assist in situation that's very disturbing. apparently a county which I will not name yet stepped in and took a mother cat and a couldn't do it passed away and left the kitten that was alive to fend for itself. this kitten is not in good shape I will absolutely have to stop by a vet as soon as I get this kitten to assess the situation to see if it could even survive. the kitten is infested with fleas very anemic from what I'm understanding so definitely needs to see a vet. also a mother cat with three and a half week old kittens who is still nursing also all infested with fleas just an emergency situation all around I have said that I will step in and tried to save these there are several other animals that it's just a situation I really can't speak much about right now. I'm on my way there to get the ones that will be released to me. so I'm asking for desperate donations to coming quickly so that I can stop by a vet as soon as I pick these babies up to give them the best chance of survival to see what we can get done. I will update more as soon as I get on scene and can assist things for myself but definitely need donations to take these animals to vet first thing and foremost before I bring them into Rocky Ridge Horse Rescue to my home

EDITED TO ADD: A HUGE THANK YOU TO UNCLE RANDY AND MY BROTHER Anthony Shuman for laying my girl and her final place in the ground with such carefulness and respect. and also a huge thank you too my sister-in-law Elysia Marie Shuman who never left my side the entire time. my whole family surrounded me and comforted me as they best knew how which was perfect in every way. I love my family and I love these horses and they knew how much I love all of them and they knew how much China meant to me. she will forever be missed and forever be loved by every single one of us.
*** EDITED TO ADD: I'm so sorry for all the edits but I'm exhausted and everything is a blur. Also 2 very special people Chris and Penni Starliper were at the farm unloading a dump trailer full of sawdust for the run ins when all of the chaos started and they unloaded all the sawdust then CAME BACK later with several bags of feed and a couple bags of beet pulp because I never got to go to the feed store. They are Zolani's owners. They are 2 very special and wonderful people that are not my friends but family. And always will be. They have been so dedicated to me and the rescue since day 1. Never ever have they made a promise and not followed through. I would do anything for them! Today was so very heartbreaking but the love of all of the people around me is just beyond words. And I needed that love more than ever today

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to those who donated to help lay my girl China to rest. Today was one of the hardest days of my life. She was the matriarch of Rocky Ridge Horse Rescue .. She started it all! When she was put in the ground today a part of my soul went with her. I will miss her so so much and can't even think about her without crying. She was 29 years old! My heart And soul are just completely broken and shattered .... probably forever. I pray she met Rocky at the gate and they're running together.

PLEASE HELP! The first horse , the matriarch of Rocky Ridge Horse Rescue is going to be laid to rest. She started to colic and isn't doing well. She's very weak and is just telling me she's tired. She's 29 years old and has had a damn good life here and this is breaking me all the way to the depths of my soul. The bank account is drained and I need help to let China go in peace and be buried. Please. I can't take anymore begging. Dr. stafford is on his way. Please
