Should I be outside doing crap, meandering around just burning crap with my new blow torch? No I shouldn't. But if I sit in that house for one more freaking second praying for a phone call that will give me the closure I so desperately want and deserve, then I'm going to go completely insane. Deep down I know it won't come no matter what amount of an award I put out there... WHY? BECAUSE THE SHOOTER IS A COWARD!! If you're big enough to hold that rifle and shoot it without a care where the bullet lands then u should be big enough to step up and own your mistake. BUT U WONT. CUZ THATS NOT WHAT COWARDS DO! COWARDS HIDE JUST LIKE WHAT YOURE DOING. You are a murdering coward and always will be. Take a long look at what u stole! Months of recovery and resilience from the bravest strongest horse in the world. A chance to have a new better life with people who would love him forever. YOU STOLE THAT! SO you're a thief and a murderer.

This horse has survived so much just to be shot down by some idiot who doesn't deserve to breathe. If you're smart you will come forward and admit what u did. If not I won't stop until I. find out who you are. Now my. horse is dead. Hundreds in vet bills and hundreds in burial costs all for you to shoot a gun I don't need. I'm sorry Rocky. Sorry I couldn't protect you from evil people

Gypsy is now at peace. She was released from her pain at 430 today. Thank you all

EMERGENCY FUNDS NEEDED!
Unfortunately I have to lay Gypsy to rest and very soon. She's been going downhill for a while but today has been absolutely horrible and she doesn't deserve to suffer anymore. And I don't have the money to cover it. I just had to bury one of our family's dogs, bug, this morning and this is just to much. I'm trying to get this done tomorrow morning. And yes it is that bad. If u don't know Gypsy is a 10 year old hound that I took in because an elderly couple was moving and having mobility issues and couldn't take her and they were going to have to take her to a shelter. I knew she would be out down if that happened so I took her in. Please help me be able to let her go in peace before things get worse. This has been the worst week of my life and I can't take anymore.

Surgery #10 coming up.....
I will be having another surgery sometime the week of May 3rd! I told them I wanted to wait til then so that me and Bri can go to plum Branch with the family and camp and ride horses before I enter hell again! Prayers that hopefully this can, and will be it! This is actually one I'm happy for because 1 plate will for sure be coming out but if he gets in there and my bone is stable and thick enough both plates will be removed !! He's sure that's the source of all the pain and issues and so am I! my body wouldn't like it if it were gold ... We can see bone growth but only thru the holes of the plate so he won't know how strong it is til he gets inside! That being said we really need to get some donations in so that I can stock up on feed etc as obviously I'll be out of work again. I'm hoping to be well enough a couple weeks after surgery to get back at it! So please if u can donate and share and most importantly pray that he is able to remove the plates so I can get back to a normal life!

Today was the most scared I have ever been in my life. With dry conditions , high winds , and the power of such a large fire being at your doorstep .. well I'll just say it's a fear I've never dealt before. If that wind had not stopped in an instant the way it did, this very well could have been a very different post.
Jennifer Ruth Chel Tate Haley Shieane Garrett Amanda Michelle Norton Lindsey Walker April Nicole Baxter and anyone else who reached out to me today after my post offering your land, bringing horse trailers and selflessly being willing to come and stand toes to the fire , literally , with me and for me to help evacuate me and my family and all of the animals THANK YOU AND I TRULY LOVE YALL! Fear often brings things into focus and these are not people I've known my entire life or blood relatives etc but people I've meant since starting a rescue, people I've met and built such beautiful, true, and meaningful friendships with that you would be willing to come and risk your own for us is truly humbling! To go from thinking there's no one u can depend on to knowing these types of people are truly my friends and my people that care that much about me means everything ..... absolutely everything! I will 100 percent always been there for any 1 of u for any reason all u need to do is say let's ride and I'm there! Evacuating 3 families an entire farm and rescue of horses as well as our personal animals would have been a massive undertaking but without a doubt with y'all we could of done it if needed. Thank you thank you thank you and I love u!
And thank you to the firemen and any other person or agency out there today risking your life to save ours! I appreciate you and I love u!
**and if u reached out to help and I didn't tag u please tell me so I can. I am exhausted from the adrenaline dump and shall now eat my cheese dip and chips and fall asleep sitting up. I did not mean to leave anyone out but just tired

Without God as our strength we could never do this and CHOOSE to do it over and over everyday even though we cry and worry and say we're done.... but the truth remains we aren't done until God says we are.....

PLEASE READ
In my almost 10 years of rescuing horses I have met many who “dream” of owning a farm and having livestock
Yet know nothing about the long days/nights commitment nor the heartaches or the “oh no” times
What they have is the “outfits” and think they can and would thrive in this world,,, without paying the price of hard work to get there

Farm work doesn’t make you stronger. It doesn’t make you anything. It reveals you.

There’s gym strong and then there’s farm strong. They’re mutually exclusive.

The toughest women you’ll ever meet spend their days on a farm.

There are more uses for twine than you can possibly imagine. You can tie up a hole in a slow feeder, fashion a tail strap for a horse’s blanket, mend a broken fence and use it as a belt.

“Well that certainly didn’t go as planned,” is one thing you’ll say quite a bit.

Control is a mere illusion. The thought that you have any, at any given time, is utterly false.

Sometimes sleep is a luxury. So are lunch and dinner. And brushing your hair.

If you’ve never felt your obliques contract, then you’ve never tried stopping an overly full wheelbarrow of horse manure from tipping over sideways. Trust me, you’ll find muscles that you never knew existed on the human skeleton to prevent this from happening.

When one of the animals is ill, you’ll go to heroic lengths to minimize their discomfort.

Their needs come first. In summer heat and coldest winter days. Clean water, clean bed, and plenty of feed. Before you have your first meal, they all eat.

When you lose one of them, even though you know that day is inevitable, you still feel sadness, angst and emotional pain from the top of your head to the tips of your toes. And it’s a heaviness that lingers even though you must regroup and press on.

You’ll cry a lot. But you’ll never live more fully. You’ll remain present no matter what because you must. There is no other option.

You’ll ask for so many miracles and hold out hope until the very last.

You will, at least once, face-plant in the manure pile.

You’ll find yourself saying things like, “we have maybe twenty minutes of daylight left to git ‘er done” whilst gazing up at a nonspecific place in the sky.

You’ll become weirdly obsessive about the weather.

You’ll go out in public wearing filthy clothes and smelling of dirt, sweat and p**p. People will look at you sideways and krinkle their noses but you won’t care.

Your entire day can derail within ten seconds of the rising sun.
You can wash your coveralls. They won’t look any cleaner, but they will smell much nicer.

Farm work is difficult in its simplicity.

You’ll always notice just how beautiful sunrises and sunsets really are.

Should you ever have the opportunity to work on a farm, take the chance! You will never do anything more satisfying in your entire life.
