And the 2025-26 Matdogs season comes to an end… what a season!

130+ total wrestlers in the club this year!!!!

8 state qualifiers out of 22 who competed at qualifiers. Overall record at state was 17-15, over 50% winning percentage at the highest level!!!

Lucas Saron - 3rd place at state
Eloise Behnke, Charlie Pezanoski, and Leonard Mayberry all with 3 wins and just missing the podium.

Colton Gabrielson and Jameson Crabtree got wins in their first state meet.

And Mary makes it for the second time and just grinded.

What a season Matdogs…. Next year starts now, go earn it!

Day 3 Competitors - Girls State Tournament - Round 5

Eloise finishes her 2x at state with 3 wins and 1 round away from making the podium. She had double digit total takedowns and just crushed it on her feet!

Eloise the takedown machine does it again! Eloise Behnke was unstoppable in her round 4 matchup…. 1 more win and she’s on the podium.

Her next match will be an uphill battle as her opponent has been here before and succeeded. She’s also coming in confident and ready for an another podium run.

Eloise! Eloise! Eloise! She’s a takedown machine. She put on a clinic in her round 3 match earning the win. She’s 2-1 on the day and looking for more

Day 3 Competitors - Girls State Tournament - Round 2

Eloise and her opponent both coming off big first round wins came to wrestle. It was a hard fought match but it just didn’t finish in her favor at the end of regulation. Great match!

Eloise will be working the backside of the bracket in hopes to hit her goal of podium.

Day 3 Competitors - Girls State Tournament - Round 2

Mary Crabtree came out and laid it all out on the mat but fell short of advancing.

Mary finished her season as a state qualifier. Next year she looks to make it 3x up at states!

Day 3 Competitors - Girls State Tournament - Round 1

Eloise Benke came out on fire in the first round. She’s been here before and understands the grind…. Being only her 2nd year in the sport and a 2x state qualifier…. Special things in the future are coming for this Matdog.

She grinded through the first opponent and stuck her in the 3rd period to advance.

Great job Eloise… go earn the next one!
