THANKFUL! That may sound odd after a fire, but hear us out. Yesterday around 4:15pm, our station was requested for a possible house fire on Todd Manor Drive in Locust Township. Soon after, multiple calls were reported to the East Central Communications Center. We're THANKFUL this fire had a lot of good things going for it's quick extinguishment. We're THANKFUL this fire was in close proximity to our Station, across the street essentially. We're THANKFUL that some of our volunteers were already at the station, or nearby, which quickened the response. We're THANKFUL for the quick response of our 2nd Alarm mutual aid companies, that had our back had this fire extended into the home. We're THANKFUL to report there were no injuries!

In a few short hours we will be opening up for the last night of carnival. The grounds open at 5 P.M. and the weather looks absolutely perfect with hardly a cloud in the sky! This will be perfect, so keep your eyes peeled above the carnival grounds around 7:00 P.M. for the Above The Poconos Skydivers that will be making the 6000-ft trek onto the baseball field with Freedom Smoke and an American flag to help us celebrate 250 years of the U.S. of A!
Dave Stamm and The Lucky Afternoon Band will take the stage around at 7 P.M. with all your classic rock favorites.
We would also like to thank Bourbon and Bloom Printing for designing and donating these awesome 250 year anniversary theme station shirts!
