The Summer Reading Program at the Castle Rock Public Library starts June 22! Sign up your kiddos (or yourself) starting on the 22nd. You do not need to have a library card to sign up. Kids do not need to be independent readers. Related activities will be happening throughout the summer!

This month's Friends of the Castle Rock Public Library's book sale is this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday! Thursday and Friday hours are from 1-4 pm and Saturday hours are from 10am to 1pm. Our feature table has several French and Italian cuisine cookbooks. Our sale also includes hundreds of fiction and non-fiction books, CDs, DVDs, and jigsaw puzzles. At $4 for a bag full, it's a great deal! A reminder that we have a donor who will match up to $5000 in donations to the Friends during the month of April. Every dollar goes to supporting the library. Thank you!

Good news! A private donor has offered to match up to $5000 in donations made in April to the Friends of the Castle Rock Library! The Friends of the Castle Rock Library is a 501c3 non-profit that supports our Castle Rock Public Library. City budget shortfalls have kept the city from designating any funds for the library this year. If you wish to donate (and see it double!), checks made payable to the Friends of the Castle Rock Library can be mailed to PO Box 865, Castle Rock, WA 98611, or dropped off at the library at 137 Cowlitz St West from 1 to 5 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday. Thank you!

The Friends of the Castle Rock Public Library's monthly book sale is this week! The Friends is a 501(c3) non-profit tasked with supporting our unfunded library. The sale is Thursday through Saturday, March 19-21. See the flyer for hours. Our feature table this month is focused on biographies and memoirs. Actors, astronauts, writers, singers, politicians, explorers, and more! We also received a donation of perhaps every Danielle Steel book written! Missing one, we have it! We have a room full of fiction, non-fiction, children's books, CDs, DVDs, and puzzles. Our $4 a bag price tag is a fantastic deal! We can only take cash or check. Stop in to take advantage of these deals!
