Good morning — my name is Patrick McCarty. I'm an Army veteran here in the Carson area and I coach track & field and cross country at Carson City-Crystal HS/MS.

I run a small Michigan nonprofit called The Distance Project that helps local student-athletes get to things their families can't always cover. Right now we're raising money to send our runners to team camp at Higgins Lake. Camp is 9–16 August and the fund closes on the 16th. We're at $891 of $1,700, which covers 6 of the 12 athletes.

I'm not asking the post for money. What would help most is reach. Would you be willing to share this post on the Legion page?

A shout out to The Carson City American Legion for letting me use your yard to put plants there before the craft show on Saturday! For being so cooperative Carla Datema - Carla Kay's (perennials and cut flowers) along with the help of Ronda Schneider spruced up the flower garden on the East side of the building. Looks much better! Again thanks!
