Sadly this chapter of the Historical Society’s story has closed, we are officially out of the building. We are looking to the future and hopefully will find a new home for all our treasures soon, so we can continue gathering, preserving and sharing the history of our wonderful community.

Thank you to everyone who helped in anyway, we couldn’t have done it without the community’s help

We need of the community’s help.

We are packing Wednesday 10 - 5pm and Friday 1-7pm. We will have hours of packing on the weekend but they have not been decided yet. All help is greatly appreciated as we have very big job ahead of us with little time to get it done.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the meeting last night, there was a lot of discussion on how to move forward as the Historical Society and keep the history cared for and alive as well as we were able to meet the new owners. We have 30 days to remove everything starting tomorrow. A motion was made to return as many items as possible to original donors or their family. Then the rest of the items are to be put into storage until the future of the historical society is decided.

How we will determine who the items are to be returned to, will be based on an inventory list of items or if the item is labeled with who donated it on the back.

We will need the community's help with packing items into totes for storage. Our scheduled days for picking up items / packing are Wednesday 22nd 10-5pm and Friday 24th 1-7pm. tentatively we will also have times set up for the 25th and 26th but hours have not been determined yet.
