Carrie Community Foundation Monthly Report.
Our meeting took place on Thursday, the 21st, at 7pm at the community center.
We successfully hosted a clothing and food giveaway on Friday, the 22nd, and aim to maintain the momentum, ensuring similar or increased participation in all our free events. Notable events are scheduled for June. Every Wednesday in June, an event will be held at the center. On Wednesday, June 3rd, from 11am-3pm, the Primary Care Center will host a health fair, featuring blood pressure checks and resource information. Lunch will be provided during the health check. On Friday, the 5th, live bluegrass music will start at 6:30pm, with open mic followed thereafter with live Bluegrass music. While our page has received significant engagement, we require assistance in promoting the Bluegrass night through word of mouth and media, as not everyone utilizes social media. On Tuesday, June 9th, we will host a family night, featuring board games, card games, co****le, and possibly basketball for parents and children, starting at 6:30pm. Food, snacks, and drinks will be provided.
We would like to acknowledge Richmond Combs' birthday in June and Josh and Amber's wedding anniversary. We also extend our condolences to two of our members who have lost a sister.
As always, we encourage you to like, share, and post on our page, while also spreading the word to those without social media access. A calendar of events is provided for your reference, and we will have Beacons of Hope visiting twice monthly to engage in activities with children. Weekly updates will be posted about upcoming events and any last-minute plans.
Everyone have a safe & blessed Memorial Weekend. Let’s not forget what this holiday is about, the men & women who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom we enjoy today.
Saturday, June 6th will be the 1st annual 550 yard sale. Hoping for a lot of participation & great treasures to buy.
