The Carrie Community Center is more than just a building in our community — it’s a place for everyone!

The Carrie Community Foundation consists of members from all over the county! These volunteers are essential in the success of any activity that is held. We want to take a moment and thank all our members for all their involvement! We also want to thank our community for coming out and enjoying what we have offered so far! Thankful to the partnerships we have made with other groups, and businesses.

Our monthly activities and events are not limited to residents of Carrie. We invite friends, families, and neighbors from all across Knott County and our surrounding communities to come join us.

Throughout the year, we offer activities and events for all ages, including:

Hello everyone, slacker here reporting on the last Carrie Community Foundation meeting and some possible future plans.

First off, let me start with July birthdays for our members. Nicole Hollifield, Connie Holliday, and Manual Slone. Happy belated birthday to all. August birthdays, our fearless leader, Carl Craft, Darlene Slone, Grover Fugate, and Debbie Chaffins. Happy birthday to each member.

We don’t have much in the works right now that school is about to start. There will be another blood drive in October. Kentucky Blood Center wrote a thank you letter for the donations & the lives it may have saved.

The Gingerbread Festival will probably be discussed at our next meeting this month. Trunk or Treat will be here before you know it.

The 2nd Tuesday of each month a family game night will be August 11th at 6:30pm. The Foundation will be providing free snacks. Come out and enjoy some family games or learn a new game.
