This one is hard to post… because the truth is, we never want to tell a girl “there’s no room for you.”
This summer, more girls have signed up for Hannah’s House programming than we currently have seats to transport. These are girls who need a safe place. Girls who need meals, mentors, encouragement, friendship, and positive support. Girls who simply want somewhere they feel seen, valued, and loved.
Transportation has become one of our biggest barriers.
Right now, we are specifically looking for volunteer drivers who could help transport girls to or from programming. Drivers do not need to stay for the program. Simply helping with pick-up around 11:00 AM or transportation home around 3:30 PM would make an incredible difference and help us continue saying YES to girls who need us.
At Hannah’s House, we believe every girl matters. We believe every girl deserves a safe place to belong.

🥃🎉 We have a winner! 🎉🥃

Congratulations to Jen Eberle, the winner of the MentorStark Bourbon Bonanza Raffle! The drawing took place live on Friday with our friends at Lucas Live Media.

Because of this incredible community, we sold 122 tickets and raised over $6,000 to support the MentorStark Opportunity Club and its mission of creating career exploration, mentorship, and real-world opportunities for young people in our community.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who purchased tickets, shared the raffle, and supported this fundraiser. Your generosity helps us continue building meaningful opportunities and connections for local youth.

And of course — thank you to LucasLive Media for hosting the live drawing!

We’re proud to share an incredible collaboration between MentorStark Opportunity Club, Basil Asian Bistro, and two Canton City School District CTE Commercial Photography seniors earlier this month!

Students, Martez Green and Azlyn-Rai Stepanovich, interested in food photography and building their professional portfolios had the opportunity to gain real-world experience while sharpening their creative skills and practicing professional relationship-building within the community. The results were spectacular! 📸✨

Providing meaningful career exploration opportunities for young people is at the heart of what we do at MentorStark.

The MentorStark Opportunity Club helps young adults ages 15–27 explore career opportunities and build lasting professional relationships through facilitated networking and job shadowing experiences with trained mentors across a variety of careers and industries throughout Stark County. We want young people to explore opportunities, build relationships, and step outside of their comfort zones.

A longtime board member and dedicated community leader, Julie will partner with Executive Director Cassie Ausperk to help guide MentorStark into its next chapter of growth and impact throughout Stark County.

Julie currently serves as CEO of JRC and has an extensive history of nonprofit leadership and community involvement.
