Getting it done! Camp season starts very soon. I waited until the front hill was in the shade to mow it today. It kicks my b***y, but it’s a good sweat 😅.

There’s a patch of Mugwort near the spillway that smells so good when I mow. 🙂

The tents are up! Summer camp is coming!

We had great weather Saturday and with the help of great volunteers, got all the tents raised. It takes a team of 4 or more to raise each tent.

Thank you Mike, David, Dan, Simon, Barry, Brianna, Chris, and Ethan. 💚 We could not do this without you!!

There is still plenty of rope work, adjusting and tightening, and of course, getting all the cots out of storage and in the tents, but having the tents up for the season definitely makes the units feel alive again!

These warmer days have the flowers popping out and the animals stirring. I think everything is ready for Spring. Be sure to listen to all the frogs in the video of the lake.

Preparations for another summer full of awesome camp experiences are in full swing at Camp Koch. I look forward to lots of fun in the sun with everyone this year. Get your families and kiddos signed up.

Remember, you DO NOT have to be a Girl Scout to attend. 🙂

Experience a variety of camps for girls of different ages, interests, and skill levels. Camp Koch offers a safe, supportive space where girls can try new activities, make new friends, and have a memorable summer!

Oh, Lordy! My cookie dealer just dropped off my first order. 😯. The cookies have arrived!

As you all know from my posts last year, I have a problem. I’m addicted to Girl Scout cookies 😂😂😂.

I’m sure we will also be visiting cookie booths over the next couple of weeks to restock. The cookie booth finder for our council is in the comments.

I know everyone around these parts is about ready for this snow to be gone, but I am finally getting around to posting some pics from the last few days. Wildlife tracks are everywhere and the frozen waterfall is very cool.

It’s beautiful today at camp with clear blue skies and glistening snow. Unfortunately, it’s also like 10 degrees and breezy out there. Too cold to be outside for long.

Before the storm I prepped the old Jeep in case we needed to go somewhere or got a call to help someone in need. We took it for a ride today and made a loop through town. ALL roads were snow covered at some level. Very few people were out and almost nothing open We did not find anyone to rescue with the Jeep.🙂

Later, we tried to take Jill the Mule up and around camp to take some photos and check things out. Jill wasn’t able to make it up Agony Hill safely. We backed down after spinning our way up maybe 50 yards. I’ll try again tomorrow or will just take the Jeep up. I’m sure it won’t have a problem. 🙂

The snow is coming down pretty hard again at camp. Here are a few pictures for now. Hopefully I can get more later. It’s pretty difficult to get around out there right now. Not a good time to go anywhere. Most everything is closed anyway.

Thanks to those road crews, utility workers, dispatchers, first responders and other critical workers for braving the weather for us!
