We made it to Huntington, WV today to drop off one of our clipper canoes with ! We are super excited to bid them fair winds and following seas in the morning as they embark on their most ambitious yet!

We would love to see you this Mon., May 11, for our 2026 Challenge's kickoff tour in Appalachia's Front Porch!
‣ We'll have a sendoff from Virginia Point Park in Kenova, WV, around 6:15am
‣ Next, we'll arrive to the Port of Ashland, KY, for a kickoff event at 8:15am
‣ Then, we'll paddle on to the docks in Ironton, OH, for a demonstration by the US Geological Survey around 9:45am

Prepping gear for the 🛶 Follow along on their socials!

Perry County: paddlers will be entering our county via the Ohio River on May 28th, staying in Rome that night and paddling on in the morning. Locking thru the Cannelton dam on May 29 and making one last debut in Troy before continuing down river.

We’re looking for adventurous individuals who would be interested in learning to captian our Clipper Canoes for events and scheduled outings - some of which require some short distance travel / carpooling.

Must be 18+, willing to volunteer, show strong leadership skills, respect for the outdoors, be kind to all kinds, First Aid / CPR certified.
