Kickin’ It in Cameron (KIIC) is a community-wide campaign initiated by the Cameron Chamber of Commerce. Our mission is to prepare Cameron for the excitement and opportunities of the 2026 FIFA™ World Cup by focusing on the 4 E’s: Educate, Engage, Enhance, and Economic Opportunity. Together, we’re building pride, projects, and partnerships to welcome the world to our hometown. ✨ 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒆𝒙𝒕 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝑲𝑰𝑰𝑪 𝒊𝒔 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆!

We’re keeping the name 𝐊𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧’ 𝐈𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐧, but giving it a new look and a new meaning.

The soccer ball represented where KIIC started. Now, “𝐊𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧’” 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 — showing up, getting involved, working together, and continuing to move Cameron forward. 💛

What a ride. 💛⚽

Kickin’ It in Cameron started with soccer, but along the way, it became so much more.

Our community showed up, worked together, volunteered, created, celebrated, and made some pretty amazing memories along the way.

None of it would have been possible without the incredible support of our 𝐊𝐈𝐈𝐂 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐬, 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐬, 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 who believed in the vision and helped bring it all to life. Thank you for showing up, sharing your ideas, giving your time, and being part of it! 💛

From an idea to something that brought so many people together, KIIC showed us what can happen when Cameron comes together.

As we look back at some of our favorite moments, we’re also looking ahead to what’s next.

Challenger Sports Foundational Skills Soccer Camp⚽💚

What a great way to wrap up an unforgettable week! Every camper received a Challenger Sports Camp Certificate of Completion, awards were presented, and two lucky campers took home FIFA Ballers.

Each camper also received a KIIC Trading Pin, while Coach Ben and Coach Haaris were presented with a Kickin' It in Cameron T-shirt and trading pin to take home to England and Scotland.

Thank you, Coach Ben and Coach Haaris, for sharing your knowledge, encouragement, and passion for the game. The kids truly loved learning from you!

⚽ Day 5 Highlights | Final Day of Challenger Sports Foundational Skills Soccer Camp 💚

What a way to finish an amazing week! Our campers put everything they learned into action, showing off their skills, teamwork, and growing confidence on the field.

One of the best parts of the week was watching new friendships form. It was fun seeing the kids huddle together, come up with game plans, and cheer each other on. 🫶

To make the final day even more memorable, Coaches Ben and Harris challenged everyone to bring a flag:

One of our youngest campers had a great time learning with Coach Haaris today! It's been so much fun watching our preschool campers build confidence, learn new skills, and enjoy every moment on the field.

⚽ 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟑 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 | Challenger Sports Foundational Skills Soccer Camp 💚 ⭐

Today's focus was on 𝒅𝒆𝒇𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒆𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 —two important skills that help players protect the ball and play with confidence.

Today's theme was 𝑾𝒂𝒄𝒌𝒚 𝑾𝒆𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒅𝒂𝒚! 🤪 Coaches Haaris 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 (Scotland) and Ben 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 (England) from Challenger Sports kept the fun going while teaching valuable soccer skills.

Campers also earned points for showing great behavior, teamwork, and positive attitudes throughout the day.

One of the best parts of camp has been watching these young athletes learn new skills, build confidence, create lasting memories, and make new friends along the way. We can't wait to see what Day 4 brings!
