Tomorrow is the big day!

The trails have all been cleared, both rope bridge sites are prepared, and most of the equipment has been delivered. Construction of the obstacles begins at 0700 tomorrow and should be mostly complete by 1600 on Friday. We will still have a little work to do, such as installing some 2x6 boards on a few of the obstacles, but the major construction will be finished.

We will post photos and, hopefully, a drone flyover video once the course is complete.

We also plan to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony after school resumes. We would love for you to come out and help us celebrate this exciting addition to our program. We will announce the date and time sometime in early August.

I just completed our Program Assessment Rating for this past year, and I am extremely impressed with our Cadets. During the 2025-2026 school year, Laker Battalion Cadets contributed 871 hours of community service activities and participated in 2,034 hours of extracurricular leadership, competitive, and citizenship activities.

These numbers reflect a highly engaged Corps of Cadets that exceeds the level of participation typically seen in most JROTC units nationwide. We are incredibly proud of our Cadets and the positive impact they make on this program, our school district, and the community as a whole. Their commitment to service, leadership, and excellence continues to set the standard for what a successful JROTC program should be.

Awesome week at JCLC! Congratulations to Cadet Snyder for earning 4th place in the PT test out of more than 250 male cadets, and to Cadet Marsh for earning 2nd place in the PT test while also being selected for the Platoon Leadership Award.

We are incredibly proud of all of our cadets and the way they represented our program throughout the week.

Also a big thank you to Mrs. Hines for attending as our chaperone. She was amazing all week and we truly appreciate all her work.

Enjoy your summer, and we will see our Raider Team members back on July 6th!

Once a year, Missouri Military Academy (MMA) hosts a JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge (JCLC) on their campus where cadets from all over the state come to train and fight together. This page is dedicated to the hard work and perseverance of those cadets.

Reminder: Those attending JCLC need to be at the school tomorrow, Wednesday, 27 May at 0700. Be in your OCP uniform and have all of your gear ready for inspection. Do not bring extra suitcases. You may bring the green duffle bag we issued you and one backpack. Make sure you bring a pillow and blanket or sleeping bag for sleeping arrangements.
