PUBLIC RELEASE
SCHOOL YEAR 2026–2027
COMMUNITY ELIGIBILITY PROVISION (CEP)
FREE BREAKFAST & LUNCH FOR ALL STUDENTS

Kingston K-14 School District is proud to announce that we will once again participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2026–2027 school year.

Through CEP, EVERY student enrolled in the Kingston K-14 School District will receive breakfast and lunch at NO CHARGE, regardless of household income. Families will not be required to complete household applications for free or reduced-price school meals.

At Kingston, we believe that caring for our students means caring for the whole child. When students have access to nutritious meals, they are better prepared to learn, grow, participate, and succeed.

PROUDLY SERVING OUR STUDENTS THROUGH CEP SINCE 2014–2015

Kingston K-14 School District began applying for and utilizing the Community Eligibility Provision during the 2014–2015 school year. With our continued participation in 2026–2027, we are proud to celebrate our:

13TH CONSECUTIVE YEAR OF CEP

For more than a decade, Kingston has remained committed to seeking opportunities and programs that support our students and families. Continuing our participation in CEP allows the district to:

Provide breakfast and lunch at no charge to every enrolled student
Ensure students have access to nutritious school meals
Eliminate household applications for free and reduced-price school meals
Reduce the stigma sometimes associated with receiving meal assistance
Help students focus on learning instead of hunger
Support Kingston students, families, and our community
MORE THAN A MEAL

Providing breakfast and lunch at no charge is about more than food. It is about taking care of our students.

We want every Kingston student to come to school knowing they are welcomed, valued, supported, and cared for. Students should be able to focus on learning without worrying about whether they will have breakfast or lunch during the school day.

For the 2026–2027 school year, students attending any building within the Kingston K-14 School District will receive school breakfast and lunch at no charge through the Community Eligibility Provision.

Kingston — Where Good Nutrition and Learning Go Hand in Hand.

We are proud to continue a program that has served Kingston students and families since the 2014–2015 school year, and we look forward to another great year of nourishing our Cougars.

🍎🥕 AMAZING NEWS FOR KINGSTON K-14! 🍓🥦

Kingston K-14 School District is excited to announce that we have been awarded the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) Grant for the 2026–2027 School Year in an amount of up to $21,438.45!

Through the FFVP, students in grades K–5 will have opportunities throughout the school year to enjoy a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables at no cost.

🍊 Who can participate?
Any child in grades K–5 who is present when the fresh fruits and vegetables are served may participate.

The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program is about more than providing a snack. It introduces children to a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables and helps show them that these foods can be healthy, delicious alternatives to snacks high in fat, sugar, or salt.

We are excited to continue providing our students with opportunities to taste, explore, and enjoy fresh foods while building healthy habits that can last a lifetime!

💚 Congratulations, Kingston Primary & Elementary!
We can’t wait to see what our students get to try this year!
