College-aged students will once again have scholarship opportunities with the 4-H Development Fund Scholarship, 4-H Livestock Scholarship, Pomona Grange, and the BC3 George and Judy Marburger 4-H Scholarship.

All applications have July deadlines, and all four scholarships will be presented during the Butler Farm Show. Request all scholarships from the Extension Office.

Our annual Sunnyview demonstration day is back and set for Tuesday, June 23. Registration information is now available and Due June 18.

As in years past, we will be having demonstrations, speeches
and impromptu questions. Not sure if you want to present?
You are still able to bring your projects to show off to the residents.
Whether you have sewn a quilt, build a robot, or raised animals, there is room to display everything! The residents enjoy seeing your projects and it is a great community service opportunity!

Would you like to spend more time with your dog? Then this is the event for you! Butler 4-H is partnering with North Pittsburgh Dog Training to provide four, two-hour dog training sessions for our 4-H members and non-4-H members. Those who participate will work with their dog and with the goal of mastering basic obedience training.

Dogs participating in the program must have a current rabies vaccine and be able to walk loosely on a leash. It is required that participants can handle their dog under their own power.

This event is open to youth ages 8–18 (4‑H age as of January 1, 2026). It is open to the first 20 participants.

Event Dates: July 14, 21, 28 and August 4, 2026

Location: North Pittsburgh Dog Training, Saxonburg, Pa

Cost: Current 4-H Members – Free
Cost: Non-4-H Member - $30

Those taking breeding livestock, dairy, goats, horses, alpacas, and rabbits have received designation forms.

Forms MUST be completed and returned to the Extension Office no later than 4 p.m. on Monday, June 1. If you haven’t entered all your project info on ZSuite, you may not receive all the designation forms you need.

Please pay attention to what you do receive and if you need others, contact Amy at the Extension Office. Remember this is YOUR responsibility as 4-H’ers, not your leaders’, so please pay attention to the details!

Have you met our National 4-H Conference delegates? Today, we're introducing Sarah Bupp of Butler County. Sarah has been a 4-H member for 9 years and is involved in projects like rabbit breeding, spinning, weaving, archery, and leadership.

Her roundtable presentation focused on the use of technology in National Parks. Her group discussed the challenges in the National Parks app, better offline apps, partnering with other brands, and other topics.

Sarah enjoyed meeting other 4-H'ers and added, "I have had the chance to grow my leadership skills, which will help me in many parts of the 4-H program."
