Picasso, our most recent surrender, is enjoying his time in the bunny room! This cutie was neutered and needed a safe space to recover (away from our other buns) and what better place than the bunny hotel room we offer all of our boarders? We removed access to the top floor for sake of healing, and he is now fully healed! Stay tuned as he will be posted next!

What breed do you think he is? 😉

Come join us on Halloween day for the Harvest Fall Festival hosted by Brice's Creek Bible Church who have generously put together this amazing event for you and your families to experience for free!

The sweetest, adoptable bunnies will be there from Happy Hoppsies Rabbit Rescue along with the most gentle and beautiful horses from County Line Horse Trail Rides for you and your kiddos to enjoy! There will also be personal goats present for the petting zoo (not adoptable) and plenty of yummy delicious treats!

We can't wait to see all of your spooky outfits and smiling faces! Be sure to thank everyone at the church for making this possible for everyone!

P.s. if you plan to adopt a rabbit at the event, please bring a carrier or prepare to purchase one of ours!

Congratulations to Snowball and Grizzly for being adopted by the sweetest new fur mama! Her and her boyfriend reached out this weekend to plan their 4hr round trip to come pick up these two handsome fellas. These boys are very lucky and are about to be so spoiled!! Thank you so much for adopting from our rescue, Lexy! You just made it possible to pick up the next rabbit on our surrender list!

OR you may meet us at the clinic on October 15th between 7:45am-8:30am. The total remains the same. You may not book your rabbit yourself.

If you are unable to drop off in Jacksonville, NC, please contact us directly so we can try to make something work for you!

What you need:

🥕 Your rabbit(s) MUST BE 6 months or older.

🐰 1 carrier per rabbit, if you are bringing more than one please put them in separate carriers.

🐇 Enough food for 3 days. Pellets preferred, hay welcome but not needed. No produce. A bowl or bottle for water as well! Treats welcome.

🐰 Message us directly so we can give you the full info and gather your buns information for the authorization forms.

🐇 Digitally pay us the surgery cost (which includes the transport fee regardless if meeting at the clinic) to secure your appointment. Pre-payment = confirmed booking.

What if?...

🤷🏼‍♀️ You don't know your rabbit's gender? We will show you how to check at drop off!

🤰Your rabbit is pregnant? There is an additional $55 abortion fee.

📍 You are not located in Jacksonville? The clinic is in Jamestown, NC near High Point, NC. You may make your own appointment if desired but it will not be through us. If you are along the route, we can meet you along the way in the same spot for pick up and drop off but the transport fee still applies. If you prefer to drop off and pick up at the clinic location, you may still book through us but the transport fee will apply regardless as this is our only way to raise funds.

Quarantine isn't as cold and heartless as it sounds. Sometimes it's too isolate fleas, sometimes to check for neurological issues, sometimes it's simply to acclimate to the feeding schedule. Rabbits get stressed, and when they first arrive it's important that we spend dedicated time learning all we can about them. This includes their healthy, appetite, and behavioral issues. It's also important to allow them to decompress and learn their surroundings. Outdoor rabbits and strays are best quarantined outside before they come in and hear vacuums, the pitter patter of other foster paws, and music. It's a slow, but necessary transition. Trust is the only thing that can build confidence.

Big Blue here was adjusting after getting neutered. He unfortunately has passed away now due to surgical complications, but he had a safe space for as long as it mattered.

What thoughts do these little rescue bunnies have when they finally eat their first greens, or get their ancient nails trimmed?
