🌟 Harvest House Spotlight 🌟

This month, we're honored to highlight one of our incredible team members whose journey to Harvest House began with a simple internet search for a place to serve.

Originally from the Ozarks, he loves mountains, rivers, lakes, and most of all—people. He shares that God has recently been teaching him just how precious people truly are.

Since joining Harvest House in December 2025, he has used his skills in troubleshooting, electronics, and processing donations to help support our mission. As an HVAC technician and mechanic, he spent years restoring machines. Today, he believes God has called him to help restore lives.

What inspires him most about Harvest House is our mission to Feed • Clothe • Restore and the people he works alongside every day. He says Harvest House feels like a reward and credits many team members for encouraging his faith, perseverance, and growth.

His favorite scripture is James 3:18:

"And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace."

Poverty is Expensive.

A car repair can mean missed work.

A missed paycheck can mean an overdue utility bill.

An unexpected expense can turn into a crisis.

When resources are limited, even small setbacks can have a ripple effect.

Getting Ahead is a 20-week program that helps participants examine the challenges they face, identify resources, set goals, and develop practical strategies for a more stable future. Along the way, participants build relationships, gain new perspectives, and discover strengths they may not have realized they had.

Our next class begins July 9.

❤️ What a blessing today was! ❤️

We were honored to welcome the iServe Team and Cana Kids from Cana Church to the Harvest House Food Pantry.

Not only did they jump in and serve alongside our team, but they also brought joyful hearts, willing hands, and a desire to make a difference in our community.

One of the greatest parts of the day was having the opportunity to share the mission of Harvest House and the love of Christ with the next generation of servant leaders.

Thank you, Cana Church, for investing in your children, serving your community, and being a shining example of faith in action.

🎓 Congrats to the 10 graduates of Harvest House’s Getting Ahead program! 🎓

Over the past five months, these participants met weekly to examine the hidden rules of economic class, build resources for a more stable future, set personal goals, and develop strategies to overcome the challenges that keep many families trapped in poverty. Their dedication, hard work, and perseverance have been truly inspiring.

We were honored to have Texas State Representative Helen Kerwin present graduation certificates and celebrate this important milestone alongside our graduates, their families, and supporters.

This program would not be possible without the many local organizations, churches, businesses, volunteers, and community members who invest in our participants throughout the journey. Thank you for helping create opportunities for lasting change.

A special thank you to Joshua Methodist Church for generously hosting us every Thursday evening throughout the program.

🐾❤️ Partnership Spotlight ❤️🐾

At Harvest House, we know that pets are family. During difficult financial seasons, no one should have to choose between feeding themselves and feeding a beloved companion.

That's why we are incredibly grateful for our partnership with Don't Forget to Feed Me.
Through their generosity and commitment to addressing pet food insecurity, they help provide pet food to families in need, allowing pets to remain where they belong—at home with the people who love them.

Together, we're helping families stay together, reducing the risk of pet surrender and abandonment, and ensuring that both people and pets receive the support they need during challenging times.

Harvest House will be closed Monday, June 8th for staff training and development.

This includes Offices, Food Pantry and the Harvest House Resale Store.
