❤️ VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: MEET TERI! ❤️

Since 2008, Teri has been faithfully serving at Harvest House and sharing the love of Jesus with the people around her.

You’ll often find her in our Resale Store sorting clothing and jumping in wherever she’s needed. One of her most treasured memories is helping provide a new coat to a family in need and seeing firsthand how one simple act of kindness can bring hope. ❤️

Through her years of volunteering, Teri says she has learned something special:

“You can never outgive God, and even the smallest acts of kindness can make a lasting impact.”

Inspired by Psalm 121:1–2, Teri continues to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus through kindness, compassion, and a heart for others.

We’re hiring! Harvest House is seeking a Director of Programs to lead and strengthen the programs that help individuals and families move from crisis toward lasting stability.

This full-time, on-site leadership role in Burleson will oversee our client-facing programs, lead the Pantry, Client Aid, and Getting Ahead teams, and help shape the future of services at Harvest House.

We’re looking for an experienced, collaborative leader who can develop people, build strong systems, use data to improve outcomes, and bring a hands-on approach when needed. A commitment to Harvest House’s Christian mission and restoration-focused work is essential.

Compensation: $45,000–$50,000, with benefits.

🌟 MEET OUR EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH: PATRICIA! ❤️

We’re excited to celebrate Patricia as our Employee of the Month!

Born and raised in Fort Worth, Patricia is family-oriented, loves animals and acting, and has a heart for helping others. She joined Harvest House on July 18 looking for an opportunity to give back to her community while doing work that truly matters.

If you’ve visited our Resale Store, Patricia may have helped make your shopping trip a little brighter! She spends much of her time sorting toys and also jumps in to help at the registers when needed.

And her favorite part? Seeing the JOY on someone’s face when they find a toy they love. 🧸❤️

For Patricia, knowing that our affordable prices help make those special finds accessible to more families makes the work even more meaningful.

Since joining Harvest House, she says she has learned the importance of patience, taking initiative, and being proactive. Her encouragement to anyone thinking about working or volunteering with Harvest House is simple: take the opportunity! Serving others gives you a sense of purpose and an opportunity to make a difference.

Patricia’s favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 4:32, a beautiful reminder to be kind, compassionate, and forgiving toward one another.
