Chuck Lerner is a born-again Christian and retired Texas Police Officer with 30 years of Service. He is also acertified Police Instructor and avid Martial Artist for over 50 years. He holds a 2nd Degree Black Belt in the Korean martial art of Hapkido.
Chuck has instructed numerous Women's Self Defense classes in the past and is the founder of A.W.A.R.E. Tactics, a Personal Protection System.

Wee are so excited to have Courtney with us this year!

Courtney Wilson has been a part of lay ministry and worship leading in the church for almost 25 years. As a licensed professional counselor in Texas, she also works with individuals and couples to understand themselves and better communicate with the people in their life. Her passion is to come alongside other to recognize and see barriers in their lives, and with compassion find new ways to live life in freedom. Sometimes this involves discussing difficult subjects, like depression or s*x, but the journey is worth it! She loves her husband of 13 years, despite his inability to eat peas, two kids who amaze and frustrate her daily, and two dogs, who make her a better human.

Allison P. Uribe is a law enforcement conference and retreat speaker, and author. In 2008, she and her husband - a San Antonio, Texas, police officer- founded Wives on Duty Ministries with a mission to support, encourage, and inspire the spouses of first responders through God's Word. Today, Allison is a lead community chaplain through the Assemblies of God Chaplaincy ministries and an ordained minister. Allison has authored two books, Because I'm Suitable (Revised version now available) and Cuffs and Coffee: A Devotional for Wives of America's Law Enforcement Officers.

Here is a little background on one of our speakers, Pastor Brooke…

Brooke has served in various areas of ministry since she was 16 years old. A founding member of The Well Church in Aledo, she now serves as the Associate Pastor. She has a BA in Church Ministries from Southwestern AG University and a Masters in Church Management from SMU. (Pony Up!)
Brooke is passionate about seeing the local church thrive and strives to make the church a place where anyone can connect and belong. Her favorite part of ministry is developing leaders and she loves to study and teach the Bible to adults and students alike. Brooke married her high school sweetheart, David, in June 2013. They have a one year old son, Brooks, who keeps them busy and on their toes! Becoming a mom changed everything Brooke knows about anything. She loves to share candidly and honestly about the journey of motherhood, the seasons life brings us, and what it looks like to follow God through it all.
